ITB Shanghai
The ITB tourism fair is currently taking place in Shanghai. While the famous ITB in Berlin, the world's largest tourism trade fair, takes place at the beginning of each year, this smaller version of the trade fair in China is now being held in Shanghai in May for the third year in a row.
The trade fair in China is a sign that many tour operators and destinations have Chinese customers in mind and want to address them specifically. The ITB is a pure trade visitor event with an extensive program – this year the main topic of lectures and discussions will be the combination of IT and travel.
