BOHR Omnibus GmbH is a family-run business that has been passionately and dedicatedly managed for two generations. Founded by Günter and Helga Bohr, their sons Timo and Mirco Bohr, with the support of their families, have taken over the management of the company. For them, the priorities remain the same: excellent service, a modern fleet, interesting travel destinations, and a fair price-performance ratio are the goals that come first. History

1986

Foundation of BOHR Travel (Owner Günter Bohr), which operates regular, school, and occasional transport services.

1987

Start of the travel business
and first bus trip to the
former Eastern Bloc, quickly
followed by more trips with groups
and associations.

1994

The first travel catalog is published, offering not only bus trips but also combined flight/bus trips around the world.

1998

The scheduled service between Hahn Airport and Frankfurt/Main starts with initially two to three trips per day.

2000

On January 1, 2000, the company was renamed to BOHR Omnibus GmbH, which is now active in all areas of bus transportation. Relocation to Lautzenhausen to the newly built, modern and ecologically equipped depot "BOHR Island".

2002

Move to Lautzenhausen to the newly built, modern and environmentally friendly operating yard "BOHR-Island".

2008

Opening of the new BOHR service center at Frankfurt/Main International Airport.

2009

Acquisition of the gas station in Dörth near Emmelshausen, directly on the A61.

2013

Complete renovation of our BOHR island, now called BOHR Travel World, welcoming guests with an expanded range of offerings.

2016

30 years of BOHR. A whole weekend was dedicated to the anniversary, featuring a large travel market with our partners.

2017

BOHR & Schilling, tradition connects. We unite internal company cohesion and a shared commitment.

2019

Since April 1, 2019, Sippel Busreisen & Touristik GmbH has been a part of the BOHR Group.

2026

40 years of BOHR - we are celebrating our anniversary - Save the date 08 and 09 August.

The Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility thanks BOHR for supporting civil emergency preparedness in road traffic in the Federal Republic of Germany.
