Hessen's second largest lake, the Aartalsee, is a regional recreational area that offers a wide range of activities for leisure sports enthusiasts on, in, or by the water. The approximately 13 km long panorama trail promises a romantic hiking tour that repeatedly offers breathtaking views of the lake as well as hilly forest and meadow landscapes.
Along the route, several shelters and seating areas invite you to take a break. Along the way, you can admire natural historical beauties, such as the "Old Oaks" and the "Eagle Oak." You will pass by a unique nature reserve that provides resting opportunities for many rare bird species.
You can end your active day in one of the many restaurants that offer local and international delicacies and invite you to linger – with a wonderful panoramic view included.
