Bus Rental for Frankfurt Events

Exhibition Shuttle and Congress Transport

During trade fair times, traffic peaks arise around the exhibition grounds at Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage, the Congress Center, the Festhalle, and Kap Europa, which cannot be improvised. We plan shuttle services with fixed schedules, defined stops, and a dispatcher on-site who manages the vehicles and reorganizes in case of delays. We coordinate stopping options and access routes in advance with the traffic management of the fair.

For exhibitors with stand personnel from the surrounding area, we combine hotel shuttles in the morning and evening with a day vehicle for customer transfers.

Transfers to Frankfurt Airport (FRA)

Group transfers to and from Frankfurt Airport are part of our daily business. We schedule the pick-up time according to the actual flight time, not a flat rate, and keep an eye on arrival delays. For airlines and handling agents, we operate our own aviation service at the Frankfurt location with crew transports, diversion handling, and layover support — around the clock, 365 days a year.

Not to be confused with our scheduled service to Frankfurt-Hahn Airport: This is a timetable-bound regular bus service with single tickets, not a bus rental.

Company Trips, Corporate Outings, and Employee Shuttles

From one-time corporate outings to permanent shift shuttles for locations with poor public transport connections. For recurring traffic, we develop route and schedule concepts tailored to your shift times and continuously adjust them. Upon request, the buses can be designed in your company's branding.

Employee Shuttle

Club, School, and Family Trips

Away games, concert trips, class trips, weddings, anniversaries: We take your group there and back together. Multiple pick-up locations are possible — especially for clubs and school classes from different districts or neighboring towns, this is the norm, not the exception. Let us know the pick-up points, and we will incorporate them into the route.

Club and Group Trips

Event and Stadium Traffic

BOHR is regularly active in the vicinity of Bundesliga clubs — including Eintracht Frankfurt and 1. FSV Mainz 05. Our experience with tight time windows, blocked access routes, and vehicles that must be exactly where they need to be comes from this business. For event organizers, we coordinate visitor shuttles for groups of up to 15,000 people.

Examination and Offer

We check vehicle availability, calculate the route against the legal driving and rest times, and calculate a fixed price. If your desired process cannot be implemented as such, we will inform you with an alternative proposal — not just after the booking.

Vehicle Dispatch

After the order is placed, a specific vehicle is scheduled and a driver is assigned who knows the route and the requirements.

Before the Ride

You will receive the vehicle details, the name and mobile number of the driver, as well as the agreed schedule. Your contact person remains the same.

On the Day of Travel

All vehicles are GPS-tracked, and our dispatch is staffed around the clock. Short-term changes in the schedule are generally feasible — just inform the driver or dispatch.

If something goes wrong: In the event of a technical defect, our 24-hour driver emergency service is available. Because we operate our own master workshop and over 200 of our own vehicles, we organize replacements from our own inventory instead of through a mediation chain. This is the practical difference between a company and a portal.

Bus

The information we need for a binding offer

 • Date and time of departure and return
 • Pick-up location(s) — multiple locations are possible
 • Destination and planned stopovers
 • Number of people including companions
 • Approximate luggage volume
 • Whether the bus should stay on site or just drop off and pick up later
 • Special requirements: wheelchair, bicycles, catering, branding

The more complete this information, the more reliable the offer — and the lower the likelihood of a recalculation.

Frequently Asked Questions about Bus Rental in Frankfurt

Is a driver always included?

Yes. BOHR rents out buses exclusively with its own professionally trained drivers. There is no rental for self-driving: Buses may only be driven by drivers with a Class D or D1 driving license and a valid professional driver qualification (key number 95); the permit according to the Passenger Transport Act is held by the company.

What bus size do we need for our group?

For up to 8 people, a minivan is sufficient; for up to 20, a small bus; for up to 35, a midibus; for about 50, a coach; and for up to 83, a long-distance bus. Include accompanying persons and consider the luggage: When fully booked and with a lot of luggage, the next larger class is often the better choice.

How early should I book a bus?

For fixed dates, a lead time of a few weeks is advisable. During peak times — trade fair weeks, the start of holidays, weekends in early summer, Advent — rather two to three months. We are happy to check short-term requests: Our dispatch is available around the clock, and with over 200 of our own vehicles, we often find solutions even at short notice.

Can we choose multiple pickup locations?

Yes. Multiple pickup points can be included in the route — this is the norm for clubs, school classes, and companies with distributed locations. We check for each point whether it can be accessed by a bus of the planned size and, if necessary, suggest an alternative point within walking distance.

Can the route be planned individually?

Yes. You specify the start, destination, stopovers, and time window, we plan the route and check it against the legal driving and rest times. If desired, we also assist with hotel booking and program planning.

How long can a bus driver drive in one day?

According to EU social regulations, a maximum of 9 hours daily, up to 10 hours twice a week; a maximum of 56 hours weekly. After a maximum of 4.5 hours of driving time, a break of at least 45 minutes is required, and the daily rest period is at least 11 hours. Driving time is not the same as working time: with breaks and downtime, a driving day can quickly add up to 12 to 13 hours. For longer distances, we use two drivers or plan an overnight stay.

Does a ten-day group trip require two drivers?

Not necessarily. For a single occasional service — which is a rented group trip — the weekly rest period can be shifted to up to twelve consecutive 24-hour periods (the “12-day rule”). Since May 22, 2024, this regulation (EU) 2024/1258 applies not only to cross-border trips but also to purely national journeys. Requirements include a digital tachograph and a carried journey log; for night trips between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, either double staffing or a break after three hours of driving time is required.

What additional costs are added to the offer price?

Fuel, driver wages, and vehicle insurance are included in the price. Toll fees abroad, parking fees at the destination, as well as accommodation and meals for the driver on multi-day trips are itemized — we organize these, so you don't have to worry about them. Not included are entrance fees, ferries, and city tolls, if applicable. Everything calculable is already included in the fixed price.

What happens in case of a breakdown?

In case of technical malfunctions, our 24-hour driver emergency service is available. Since BOHR operates its own master workshop and has over 200 vehicles in its fleet, replacements can be arranged directly from our own inventory — without going through an intermediary chain.

What equipment do the buses have?

All vehicles: air conditioning, seat belts, and navigation system; almost all buses also offer free Wi-Fi. Starting from the coach class, fire alarm system, onboard toilet, onboard kitchen with refrigerator, reclining seats with footrests, folding table and armrests, as well as a HiFi system with microphone and screen system are included. Team and VIP buses also feature face-to-face seating groups with tables, power outlets, laptop connections, as well as panorama and rearview cameras.

Is BOHR a broker or a bus company?

BOHR is a bus company with its own fleet, its own drivers, and its own workshop — founded in 1986, now family-run in the second generation. Your inquiry will not be passed on to subcontractors.
