The Lake Cycle Path is located in the districts of Marburg-Biedenkopf. At the beginning, you cycle through largely solitary, wild-romantic low mountain landscapes and over old railway embankments in the upper Lahn valley. You pass the Perfstausee, a flood retention basin with a paved walking path. After a climb, the path leads to Angelburg, then down to a quartzite outcrop that forms cliffs up to 15 m high. At the end of the route, you reach Hesse's second-largest lake, a regional recreational area, the Aartalsee, which offers a wide range of activities for recreational athletes on, in, or by the water.
