Norden-Norddeich, the lovable town by the sea and directly behind the dike, is the oldest town in East Frisia. Stately merchant houses on all sides of the market indicate that well-to-do families once resided here. As a state-recognized North Sea spa, Norden-Norddeich developed from a fishing village into a popular coastal resort.

Day 1 | Arrival

Departure in the morning and drive north. In Münster, you will make a short stop and have some free time. In Norden-Norddeich, you will check into your hotel room and will then be expected for dinner.

Day 2 | Island Norderney

Today, you will walk from the hotel to the ferry terminal in Norddeich and start a ferry crossing to the island of Norderney. On the island, you will first take a tour to the most beautiful spots of the island, such as beach and dune areas, Hellerwiesen, and the lighthouse. You will receive interesting explanations and take a short break at the beach. In the city center, you will then have some free time. In the late afternoon, you will return by ferry to Norddeich.

Day 3 | Free Time

Today is entirely yours. Perhaps you will take a leisurely stroll through the maritime pedestrian zone. Don’t miss the large marketplace and the impressive Ludgerikirche. At the beach, sand and sun invite you to relax right by the Wadden Sea.

Day 4 | Emden – Greetsiel

Drive to Emden. After a guided walk through the city, you will have some free time. Perhaps you will visit the Otto-Huus? Afterwards, you will drive through Rysum, a classic round-warp village, and the Krummhörn cultural landscape to the fishing village of Greetsiel. Stroll leisurely along the picturesque fishing harbor with the crab boats and to the most famous sights, the twin windmills.

Day 5 | Neuharlingersiel – Jever

Today, you will drive along the coast to Neuharlingersiel. After a suitable stay at the picturesque harbor of the popular fishing village, you will continue to Carolinensiel and the residence town of Jever. The charming Frisian town has many facets to offer, and a stroll through Schlachtstraße is definitely worthwhile.

Day 6 | Aurich – Wiesmoor

Drive to Aurich – the “secret capital” of East Frisia with its historic yet modern center. Stroll through the market with its artwork, the brewery, the Stiftsmühle, the castle, or the pedestrian zone with many buildings from past centuries. Afterwards, continue to the flower city of Wiesmoor and visit the flower hall.

Day 7 | Free Time
