Woodstock Festival of Brass Music

2027 will be special: The Woodstock of brass music in Ort im Innkreis is celebrating its 15th anniversary. You can expect a musical best-of from 15 years of festival history – with popular bands, numerous stages, and plenty of Woodstock feeling. For four days, it will be: Love, Peace & Brass Music! The festival experience is rounded off with a sociable supporting program including a brewery tour and a visit to the cider tavern.

Day 1 | Arrival in Wallern / Upper Austria

Departure in the morning and drive to Wallern an der Trattnach in Upper Austria. After checking into your room, you will be welcomed at the nearby inn “Hendlpartie,” about 160 meters away. Look forward to crispy baked and roasted chicken with side dishes, salad from the buffet, and a dessert to finish.

Day 2 | Woodstock Festival of Brass Music

Today, after breakfast, you will travel to Ort im Innkreis to the festival grounds, which you will reach just before noon. Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the Woodstock of Brass Music, where music, joy of life, and sociability can be felt everywhere. A diverse program awaits you on numerous stages – from traditional brass music and Bohemian-Moravian sounds to brass, funk, and modern rhythms. Everywhere, culinary offerings invite you to enjoy, linger, and socialize (at your own expense). You will have all day to explore the festival grounds, visit different stages, and experience the special Woodstock feeling. At 00:30, return to the hotel, arriving around 01:30.

Day 3 | Brewery & Cider Tavern

After the long festival night, breakfast can be enjoyed a little longer. Around 11:30, you will start your journey to Ried im Innkreis. During a brewery tour with tasting and pretzel pastries, you will learn interesting facts about the production of Rieder beer specialties. There will be some free time before we take our bus to Bad Schallerbach, the starting point for a short hike to the cider tavern. Those who wish can hike the approximately 45 minutes to the tavern, or you can comfortably take the bus. Time to linger before a hearty dinner with “Bratl in der Rein,” dumplings, potatoes, and coleslaw is served. For dessert, a mixed “pastry variation” with donuts, Buchteln, nut sticks, and strudel awaits you. Afterwards, a short bus ride back to the hotel.

Day 4 | Return Journey

After breakfast, you will embark on your journey home with many beautiful memories and the sounds of the festival still in your ears.

The 3-star Hotel Garni Wallern is centrally located in Wallern an der Trattnach, just about 2 km from the spa town of Bad Schallerbach. The modernly furnished, family-run hotel features a café. The nearby inn Schaich, known for its fried chicken specialties, is only about 160 m away.
