Christmas in Montafon – Vorarlberg

Tschagguns is a picturesque municipality in the Vorarlberg Montafon, geographically located near the border with Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Day 1 | Arrival Vorarlberg

Departure in the morning and drive to Tschagguns/Montafon. You will be warmly welcomed at the hotel. Check-in and dinner.

Day 2 | Bregenz and Feldkirch

After breakfast, you will travel to Lake Constance, which is shared by Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. First, you will visit Bregenz, the capital of Vorarlberg, and learn more about its rich cultural heritage during a city tour through the historic old town. Afterwards, you will have free time at the Bregenz Christmas market, where you can taste local delicacies and enjoy the festive atmosphere. On the way back, you will discover the medieval town of Feldkirch – the Christmas market, the lovingly decorated shops, and a fine culinary offer attract young and old to the historic town. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 | Liechtenstein Vaduz

Today, you will cross the border into the small but fine Principality of Liechtenstein! Even on the way there, you will have a wonderful view of the impressive silhouette of Vaduz Castle, the residence of the princely family. A city train tour awaits you, which will comfortably bring you closer to the most beautiful sights of the capital. During the ride, you will hear interesting stories about the land, its people, and traditions of the principality. (If the roads are snow-covered, the city tour will be conducted on foot). A special highlight is the visit to the "Liechtenstein Citytrain Virtual Cinemas": in the old cinema, the film "Princely Moments" will be presented. Afterwards, you will enjoy free time to explore the city of Vaduz with its boutiques, cafés, and souvenir shops. In the afternoon, you will return to your hotel and can already get into the Christmas spirit with punch and cookies. In the evening, a festive Christmas gala awaits you at the hotel with a Christmas menu, live music, and festive decorations.

Day 4 | Free Time

Today is at your leisure. Enjoy the wellness area of the hotel or explore the surroundings on one of the many hiking trails. A visit to the nearby Käsehaus Montafon allows you to taste the famous Montafoner Sura Kees (entrance extra). Dinner in your hotel with a classic turkey meal as a choice menu.

5. Day | Departure

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye and you will begin your journey home.
