Itinerary
Day 1 | Flight to Corfu
Transfer to the airport and flight to Corfu. Enjoy the first impressions of the holiday island on the drive to the hotel.
Day 2 | Corfu Town – Soap Factory
Today, we head to the enchanting metropolis of the island, Kerkyra. In the old town, you will visit the Church of Saint Spyridon, the patron saint of the island, among other sights. During a subsequent stroll through the narrow, winding streets of the old town (UNESCO World Heritage Site), you will get to know the city with its Venetian flair more closely. To conclude, you will experience how handmade soaps from Corfu are made at a traditional soap manufacturer.
Day 3 | Kanoni Peninsula – Mon Repos
Your excursion first takes you to the Kanoni Peninsula, where you will explore the small Vlacherna Monastery with its picturesque church. From here, enjoy a magnificent view of Corfu's landmark, the Mouse Island Pontikonissi. You will take a boat to the island and visit the Byzantine chapel of Pantokrator. Afterwards, a visit to the historic summer residence Mon Repos is on the agenda, known as the birthplace of Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II.
Day 4 | Leisure Time
Surrounded by the breathtaking coast of Corfu, the hotel offers a tranquil oasis for relaxation. With easy access to the beach, you can effortlessly transition from lounging by the pool to walks along the sea and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Day 5 | Following in Sisi's Footsteps to Achillion and Paleokastritsa
Today's excursion takes you to Gastouri, where the Achillion Palace, built by Empress Sisi, is located. You will visit the beautifully landscaped garden and enjoy the magnificent view of the city of Corfu. Afterwards, you will reach the charming village of Paleokastritsa, an old fishing village. There, you will visit the men's monastery Theotokou, located on a peninsula, which was founded in the 13th century. Take the opportunity for a short walk, explore the many bays, and enjoy your lunch break in one of the numerous restaurants. The subsequent drive up to the village of Lakones at Bella Vista hints at the breathtaking panorama over Paleokastritsa and Corfu that awaits you at the top. Along the way, you will visit a herb house to taste delicious local jams and kumquat liqueur. Afterwards, you will return to the hotel via Makrades.
Day 6 | Taster Trip to Albania
Corfu is not far from Albania. A ferry connects the Ionian island with Albania. After an hour, you will reach the port of Saranda. From here, we will head to the ancient and well-preserved archaeological site of Butrint, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 7 | Leisure Time
The beach area is the perfect setting to soak up the sun or enjoy a cozy nap to the soothing sound of the waves.
Day 8 | Return Flight
Transfer to the airport and return flight.
