Itinerary

Day 1 | Overnight Stay

Departure in the morning and drive to the Milan area for an overnight stay.

Day 2 | Arrival in Pescia

After breakfast, you will continue your journey to Tuscany. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Pescia.

Day 3 | Pescia – Lucca

Today's bike tour takes you from the hotel through the green hilly landscape of Lucca. You will ride through olive groves and vineyards, enjoying beautiful views of the large valley where Lucca is located. Your destination, Lucca, has a tumultuous history. Mighty walls enclose the city in a seemingly insurmountable ring. You will return to your hotel by bus. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 | Volterra – La Sterza

The bus will take you to Volterra in the morning. The city has its own charm, and the region around Volterra is a paradise for cycling routes. Through the lonely, barren hilly landscape, you will ride up and down to La Sterza. At a farm, you will be shown how to search for truffles – a tasting is, of course, a must. Bus transfer to the hotel and dinner.

Day 5 | Vicopisano – Pisa – Tyrrhenian Coast

Your bike tour starts in Vicopisano. You will ride in the plains around the Pisan mountains to Pisa, the birthplace of Galileo Galilei. The city became famous for its impressive, unique buildings, such as the Leaning Tower. The incomparable art treasures on the Campo dei Miracoli, the Square of Miracles, are what gave Pisa its status as a maritime power in the Middle Ages. In the afternoon, you will reach the Tuscan coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. You will return to your hotel by bus. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 | Pescia – Vinci

After a hearty breakfast, you will start your bike tour today from the hotel to Leonardo da Vinci's homeland. The route leads through olive groves and vineyards, past old farms and medieval fortresses to Vinci. The charming small town is a place with history. Over 500 years ago, the artist and polymath Leonardo da Vinci was born here. To this day, the place has preserved its original charm. You will return to your hotel by bus. Dinner and overnight stay.

Bike route: approx. 52 km (moderate)

Day 7 | Impruneta (Chianti) – Greve in Chianti

You will reach Impruneta by bus. From here, you will ride to Greve in Chianti. Nestled in the gentle hills of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena, lies this charming little town. The center of Greve is characterized by the picturesque Piazza Matteotti. To conclude the day, you will participate in a tasting of the famous Chianti wine. Return to the hotel by bus.

Day 8 | Arrivederci bella Italia!

After breakfast, you will begin your journey home with many new impressions in your bike luggage.

4-star Hotel Villa delle Rose in Pescia

The town of Pescia is only about a 20-minute drive from Florence, Pisa, and the Versilia coast. This ancient villa was built at the end of the 16th century by Count Soderini. The villa has since been lovingly renovated with great attention to detail. The hotel features an elevator, a restaurant, a bar, a lounge, free Wi-Fi, and a swimming pool with hydromassage in the park area. The rooms are equipped with a bathtub or shower, toilet, radio, TV, telephone, and air conditioning.
