Day 1 | Arrival in Lyon (approx. 639 km)
Departure in the morning and drive to Lyon. The city between the Rhône and Saône uniquely combines history, culture, and French lifestyle. Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel Eastlodge Lyon Est (local category).
Day 2 | Lyon – Salou (approx. 739 km)
After breakfast, continue your journey past Perpignan and Barcelona to Salou. Dinner and overnight stay in a good mid-range hotel.
Day 3 | Salou – Roquetas de Mar (approx. 699 km)
Breakfast and continue to Roquetas de Mar for an overnight stay at the 4-star Hotel Playacapricho (local category).
Day 4 | Roquetas de Mar – Nerja – Benalmádena (approx. 211 km)
After breakfast, the drive takes you to Nerja, a charming village with beautiful beaches and the Balcón de Europa, a spectacular viewpoint over the Mediterranean. Once a fortress, it is now the most legendary meeting point on the Costa del Sol. Continue along the coast to Benalmádena, where you will be warmly welcomed at the 4-star Hotel Alay (local category). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 | Free time
Today is all yours! Enjoy relaxing hours at the nearby sandy beach or take a stroll along the promenade. The marina “Puerto Marina” invites you to linger with its restaurants, shops, and special flair.
Day 6 | Antequera – Torcal Nature Reserve
Today you will embark on a hiking tour through the wolf park of Antequera and get up close with the fascinating predators living here. Afterwards, explore the Torcal nature reserve, which has served as a backdrop for several films with its bizarre limestone rock formations. Like a fairy-tale landscape, the rock formations shaped by the elements inspire the imagination. Rare species of orchids and local wildlife have made this rocky world their home.

Day 7 | Granada – Alhambra
After breakfast, experience an incomparable journey through Andalusian botany. The often snow-covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada provide a magnificent backdrop as you hike from the source, at the gates of the historic Moorish city of Granada, along the original Moorish aqueduct directly to the famous Alhambra. The former Moorish seat reflects an enlightening history and a unique architecture found nowhere else in the world.

Day 9 | On royal paths in El Chorro
Used in the early 20th century as an important transport route for railway construction, but then increasingly left to decay, the “Caminito del Rey” shines again in its former glory after extensive restoration. In the reservoir area of the Guadalhorce, you will hike up through the unique beauty of the Andalusian mountains. From El Chorro, you will go to the lovely valley of the giant gorge, once a royal hunting ground, until you reach the nature park of Ardales. On your trek along the king's path, you will cross the bearded vulture gorge at dizzying heights, where you can enjoy spectacular views. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 10 | Free time
Today is once again all yours. Enjoy the diversity of the coastal town in a relaxed manner. The beach invites you to unwind.
Day 11 | Benalmádena – Madrid (approx. 546 km)
Today it is time to say goodbye to Benalmádena. For the bus guests, the journey leads to Madrid, the vibrant capital of Spain. On foot, you will walk in the footsteps of the Habsburgs and see, among other things, the Plaza Mayor and the Puerta del Sol as well as the Royal Palace. Afterwards, dinner and overnight stay at the 4-star Hotel Praga (local category) in Madrid.
Day 12 | Madrid – Bilbao – Hondarribia (approx. 523 km)
After breakfast, you will continue your journey towards Bilbao. The traditional fishing and trading port is located at the mouth of the Nevión River. Nestled between green hills and not far from the Atlantic, Bilbao uniquely combines nature, culture, and modern lifestyle. After the city tour, you will visit the protected old town, which houses a great variety of architectural styles. In the evening, you will reach Hondarribia. Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Superior Hotel Jauregui (local category).
Day 13 | Hondarribia – Tours (approx. 573 km)
After breakfast, you will drive to Tours. Located in the heart of the Loire Valley, Tours combines French elegance with rich history and a relaxed way of life. Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel Kyriad Tours Centre (local category).
Day 14 | Return journey (approx. 743 km)
After an eventful few days, the return journey begins. With each kilometer, home comes closer while the impressions of the trip come alive once again.

The indicated hikes are mostly easy. However, please note that the hike on the “Caminito del Rey” has a certain height and is not suitable for people with a fear of heights.
