Easter. Mountains. South Tyrol

In spring, South Tyrol shows its colorful and vibrant side: Nature awakens, fruit trees bloom, and the Easter season brings traditional customs and a festive atmosphere to the towns. This journey invites you to experience the unique combination of nature, culture, and enjoyment. A special highlight is the visit to the Easter concert by Oswald Sattler in Meransen. With heartfelt songs, he provides an unforgettable musical experience amidst the impressive mountain backdrop.

Day 1 | Arrival

Departure in the morning and drive to Villanders. With a welcome aperitif, you will be warmly welcomed at the hotel and receive initial hotel information. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 | Villanders and Klausen

In the morning, junior manager Walter will personally show you the historic town center of Villanders with its Gothic parish church and the impressive cemetery, known as the most beautiful cemetery in South Tyrol. The journey then continues to the medieval town of Klausen, dominated by the Säbener Klosterberg, one of the oldest pilgrimage sites in Tyrol. The artist town of Klausen is one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Italy. After a stroll through the romantically winding streets of the small town, also known as the “Dürer Town,” you will return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 | Free Day

Today is entirely yours. Enjoy the amenities of your hotel, such as the spacious wellness and swimming area, or explore the nearby surroundings on your own. With the South Tyrolean Guest Pass, you can use all public transport as well as some cable cars free of charge.

Day 4 | Dolomites Tour

This day is all about the Dolomites. During the drive through this magnificent mountain world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009, you can admire mountain massifs such as the Latemar, the legendary Rosengarten, or the queen of the Dolomites, the Marmolada. Via the Eggental, you will reach the picturesque Karer Lake. During a short stay at the lake, you can admire one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in South Tyrol. You will then reach the Sella Pass via the Fassatal, another worthwhile stop to enjoy a unique mountain panorama. Continue through the Gröden Valley, with a stop in the picturesque holiday resort of St. Ulrich before returning to the hotel.

Day 5 | Easter Concert with Oswald Sattler

In the late morning, you will drive to Meransen. Here, you will experience a festive Easter celebration with Oswald Sattler. Uplifting folk music, cheerful spring songs, and South Tyrolean hospitality will accompany you through a delightful afternoon. A platter of speck and cheese and a glass of wine round off this special Easter day in the sunny mountain world of the Pustertal. (Show starts: approx. 1:00 PM, show ends: approx. 4:00 PM). After the show, you will return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 | Haflinger Parade Merano – Trauttmansdorff Castle

Drive to Merano. Every year at Easter, visitors in Merano are treated to a special spectacle when the freshly groomed Haflingers parade through the streets of the city center in a colorful procession, accompanied by music bands and folk groups, marking the start of the Haflinger gallop race. The event is framed by a varied supporting program with music, entertainment, and culinary offerings. You will have free time at your disposal. In the afternoon, you will visit the Botanical Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle. In the gardens, you can enjoy the flair of the South on 12 hectares and 7 km of pathways among palm trees and flowers. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 7 | Return Journey

With many beautiful and surely new impressions in your travel luggage, you will begin your journey home.
