Departure in the morning and drive to Erfurt – a city full of history, charm, and vibrant culture awaits you. The Thuringian capital enchants with its lovingly restored old town, picturesque alleys, and impressive buildings such as the Erfurt Cathedral and the Krämerbrücke. Go on an individual discovery tour and enjoy the medieval flair. Afterwards, continue to Oberwiesenthal. Here, you will be warmly welcomed with a welcome sparkling wine. Dinner and overnight stay.
Ride the Fichtelbergbahn from Oberwiesenthal to Cranzahl. The Fichtelbergbahn is one of the last regularly operated narrow-gauge railways in Germany. The route stretches approximately 17 kilometers through the picturesque Ore Mountains and offers a nostalgic journey as if from another time. Upon arrival in Cranzahl, you will continue to Annaberg-Buchholz. During a guided tour, let yourself be transported into the fascinating world and rich history of silver mining. Of course, there will also be some free time before heading to the world-famous toy village of Seiffen. Seiffen was first mentioned in a document in 1324. Discover a world of wood, tradition, and craftsmanship during an individual stroll. Here, (almost) everything revolves around Christmas figures, nutcrackers, incense smokers, Schwibbögen, and intricately turned wooden toys. You will return to your hotel for dinner.
If you are at the German-Czech border, you should definitely visit Karlovy Vary, one of the most beautiful spa towns in the region, with its colonnades, architectural monuments, and parks. Upon arrival, it becomes clear: Karlovy Vary is no ordinary place. The town is beautifully nestled among wooded hills, traversed by the Teplá River, which elegantly winds through the valley. In the afternoon, you will visit the ancient Loket Castle. With its deep dungeon cells, it towers over a granite rock and presents a picture straight out of a storybook. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Today, you will take an excursion into the Western Ore Mountains. The miners' carving art of the Western Ore Mountains and the miners' longing for light form the basis of the unique folk art shaped by mining. The many exhibits in Schneeberg captivate you and provide a unique insight into the world of miners' folk art. Next, you will head to Eibenstock to the “Funke Embroidery” – basically following in the footsteps of embroidery art and Plauen lace. During a company visit, you will learn interesting facts about this art, and a glass of sparkling wine will be provided for your welcome. The return to the hotel will take you through Johanngeorgenstadt with its free-standing Schwibbogen and an opportunity to visit the market in Potůčky on the Czech side. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
