Mittersill

Mittersill is located in the heart of Salzburg: The Kitzbühel Alps in front of you, the Salzach Valley always by your side, and the Hohe Tauern National Park as your support. Here lies Oberpinzgau, in the beautiful Salzburg region, as part of the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region, surrounded by North, South, and East Tyrol and traversed by the unique valleys of the national park, where the highest mountains in Austria are also located. Day 1 | Arrival

Departure in the morning and drive to Mittersill. You will be warmly welcomed at the Sporthotel Kogler. Room allocation and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 | Grossglockner – Round Trip – Lienz

After breakfast, you will start a round trip via Bruck – Fusch to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and over the Franz-Josefs-Höhe and Heiligenblut to Lienz. Located in the far south, on the sunny side of the Alps, lies Lienz, close to the border with Italy. It’s no wonder that not only is the “Dolce Vita” lived here, but the atmosphere is also distinctly Mediterranean. Because where else can you sit in the middle of the city under palm trees, enjoying a cappuccino with a view of the impressive, steep mountain peaks? In Lienz, you will have some free time before heading back to Mittersill through the Felbertauerntunnel.

Day 3 | Krimml Waterfalls

After breakfast, you will travel with your tour guide to the Krimml Waterfalls. It is breathtaking to experience the untamed power of water up close. With a drop of 380 meters, the Krimml Waterfalls are among the most impressive natural spectacles in the world. A four-kilometer hiking trail with viewpoints and platforms brings you very close to the highest waterfalls in Europe (sturdy footwear is recommended). In the afternoon, return to the hotel. Perhaps you will use the time until dinner to visit the hotel’s wellness area.

Day 4 | Kitzbühel – Zell am See

After breakfast, you will take an excursion towards Kitzbühel. The fascination of Kitzbühel combines urban flair with typical Tyrolean hospitality, offering culinary diversity and exclusive shopping opportunities. After a leisurely stroll through the town and a chance for lunch, you will continue to Zell am See. Zell am See is nestled between the gentle grass mountains of Pinzgau and the rugged walls of the Hohe Tauern. The crystal-clear Zeller See lies in the midst of an alpine mountain landscape. On calm days, the peaks are reflected in the water. The Zeller old town with its historic center is worth seeing. Sit back on a panoramic boat tour on the Zeller See and admire the magnificent mountain scenery from a new perspective before heading back to your hotel.

Day 5 | Weißsee Glacier

The Weißsee Glacier World in Uttendorf in the Salzburg region presents itself in summer as an impressive destination for walkers, hikers, and mountain professionals. Surrounded by stunning nature, you can enjoy the day to the fullest. Let yourself be enchanted by the impressive natural backdrop of the over 3,000-meter-high mountains in the Hohe Tauern National Park. In the early afternoon, return to your hotel. Relax on your last day in the SPA area of your hotel.

Day 6 | Return Journey

Wonderful vacation days come to an end, and after breakfast, you will embark on your journey home, filled with many beautiful impressions.
