The Kiel Fjord shapes the heart of the city and tells the story of its maritime heritage: from the majestic Gorch Fock to the venerable lighthouses that line the fjord.

Day 1 | Arrival at the Port City of Kiel

Departure in the morning and drive to Kiel. You will be warmly welcomed at the hotel with North German charm. Check-in and dinner.

Day 2 | First Encounter

After breakfast, you will discover the port city of Kiel. Marvel at the charming mix of modern architecture and historic buildings. You will see the most beautiful places by the water, attractions, and museums in the city area and be surprised by interesting anecdotes. Kiel is a diverse city and impresses with its maritime atmosphere. Around noon, you will drive to the Baltic Sea resort of Laboe. Here you have free time and the opportunity for a small lunch snack. The Laboe marina is always worth a visit, and if you appreciate fresh fish, you are in the right place. Restaurants and cafés invite you to linger with a wonderful view of the Baltic Sea. Those who are good on foot can visit Laboe's most famous landmark - the submarine and the memorial. In the afternoon, it’s time to set sail for a boat trip back to Kiel. Experience views that are not possible from land! You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3 | Eckernförde – Kappeln – Schleiregion

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, the journey takes you to the Schleiregion. North and south of the Schlei, nestled between vast green meadows and forests, charming little villages with magnificent estates and many original thatched-roof houses await your discovery. You will see Eckernförde and the port city of Kappeln. Here, you can feel the true harbor romance while strolling along the museum harbor. In Ludwigsburg, you will visit the manor house and stop for coffee and cake at the courtyard café. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 | Lübeck Bay – Holstein Switzerland

After breakfast, you will drive to Lübeck Bay. It’s amazing what a variety the coastal strip has to offer. On one side is the seaside resort of Scharbeutz, picturesque on the Baltic Sea and known for its fashionable Baltic lifestyle. The fishing village of Haffkrug greets you with a maritime and refreshing atmosphere. In the afternoon, the journey takes you through the picturesque hilly and lake landscape of Holstein Switzerland. With many beautiful impressions, you will return to your hotel in Kiel for dinner.

Day 5 | Journey Home

Today, it’s time to say goodbye to the Kiel Fjord. After breakfast, you will embark on your journey home with many beautiful memories in your travel luggage.
