In the afternoon, you will take an excursion to the Eiderstedt Peninsula with the North Sea resort of St. Peter-Ording. You will have the opportunity to take a walk along the beach or enjoy a cozy coffee break.
Day 3 | Island of Sylt
Today you will take an excursion to the holiday island of Sylt. You will first reach Niebüll by bus. From here, you will take the car train over the Hindenburg Dam to the island of the rich and famous. Fine sandy beaches, rough surf on the west side, and a tranquil Wadden Sea in the east. Pristine dunes and green dikes, blooming heath, and majestic cliffs. During an interesting island tour, you will see the most beautiful spots on the island. Afterwards, take the time for a little stroll through the fashionable Westerland or enjoy the wonderful North Sea air on a beach walk. In the afternoon, you will return over the Hindenburg Dam back to Husum.
Day 4 | Free Time – Husum Port Days
Today is all yours! Walk in the footsteps of Theodor Storm or enjoy the healthy North Sea climate on the dike. At the Shipping Museum of North Frisia, located directly at the Husum harbor, you will learn more about maritime history, seafaring, and shipbuilding in an extensive exhibition. A detour to the outer harbor, where you can admire crab fishing boats and merchant ships, is also part of a harbor excursion in Husum. The inner harbor is a wonderful place to stroll and watch. Perhaps you will simply enjoy a crab sandwich or Frisian cake in a cozy café or a rustic harbor pub. Visit the largest city event of the year - the Husum Port Days.
Day 5 | Island of Amrum
Your excursion today takes you to the island of Amrum, the “small island of great freedom,” in the Wadden Sea. Our bus will take you to Dagebüll (or Nordstrand). From here, it’s “anchors aweigh” as you sail past six Halligen and two islands to Amrum. With the “Amrum Island Railway,” you will explore the island. In the Frisian village of Nebel, you will make a stop and have the opportunity for an individual lunch break or to visit St. Clemens Church with its sailors' cemetery and its “speaking stones” as well as the Frisian Museum. Nebel unfolds its charm with thatched-roof houses, enchanted alleys, and striking historical buildings. Cafés and small shops contribute to the cozy atmosphere. To conclude, visit Wittdün – here, it’s rarely more than a few steps to the water. Enjoy the view of the Wadden Sea and stroll along the promenade that runs along the water's edge around the southernmost tip of the island. In the afternoon, you will return by boat to Nordstrand. Here, our tour bus will be waiting for your return to the hotel.
