Easter days at Lake Constance

Day 1 | Constance – Friedrichshafen

Departure in the morning and drive to Constance. The city is located directly on Lake Constance and is known for its well-preserved old town with narrow streets, cozy cafés, and impressive buildings. Among the main attractions is the Constance Cathedral, a landmark of the city with over 1,000 years of history. You have free time to explore. In the afternoon, you will continue to Friedrichshafen. After checking into your room, the rest of the evening is at your leisure, and you can explore the city on your own.

Day 2 | Lindau – Distillery – Bregenz

Today you will travel to Lindau. The landmark of the city is the harbor entrance with the Bavarian Lion and the lighthouse. During a guided tour, you will get to know the historic island town. After an individual lunch break, you can immerse yourself in the world of enjoyment at a distillery and experience the art of schnapps distillation up close. In the farm shop, you have the opportunity to taste fine schnapps and liqueurs and buy a small treat for home on-site. The afternoon is dedicated to the festival city of Bregenz, beautifully located on the eastern shore of Lake Constance at the foot of the impressive Pfänder massif. Here you have free time. The lakeside promenade invites you for a walk with a view of Lake Constance. To conclude the day, we invite you to dinner at a restaurant in Bregenz. Well-fed, you will return to Friedrichshafen.

Day 3 | Weingarten – Ravensburg with Easter Market

After breakfast, the journey takes you through the picturesque landscape of Upper Swabia to Weingarten. Between baroque monastery walls, narrow alleys, and the course of the Stillbach, history comes alive. During a guided tour, you will go on a cultural-historical treasure hunt and take a stroll through the history of the Weingarten monastery and town. Continue to Ravensburg, one of the most beautiful historical cities in Upper Swabia. Around the Marienplatz, a charming Easter market awaits you. Local vendors present lovingly crafted Easter decorations, artisanal products, spring flowers, and culinary specialties. There is plenty of time to explore the market at your leisure, buy souvenirs, or relax in a café. Individual evening arrangements and dinner in Friedrichshafen.

Day 4 | Mainau Island

Drive along the shores of Lake Constance to Meersburg. From here, it's time to set sail on a boat trip across Lake Constance to Mainau Island, one of the most famous excursion destinations in southern Germany. With its mild, almost Mediterranean climate, it offers an exceptional variety of plants year-round. You have free time to explore. Several restaurants and cafés invite you to linger. In the afternoon, you will reach the mainland via a bridge and take the bus back to your hotel. You will end the day comfortably with dinner at a restaurant in Friedrichshafen.

Day 5 | Bad Schussenried – Return Journey

Breakfast and drive to Bad Schussenried to the Schussenried Monastery. A visit to the monastery is like a journey to another time. Upon entering the expansive monastery complex, you can feel the special atmosphere of history, tranquility, and baroque splendor. For lunchtime, we have reserved seats at the Bad Schussenried Experience Brewery (self-pay). After a hearty meal, you will begin your journey home.
