Day 1 | Freyburg – Leipzig

Departure in the morning and drive towards Leipzig. In Freyburg an der Unstrut, you will make a stop around lunchtime. The town is known for its wine and sparkling wine and offers a rich historical heritage. Before continuing, discover the historic wooden barrel cellar of the winemakers' association as well as the modern cellar facilities while enjoying a glass of wine. Upon arrival in Leipzig, you will check into your rooms. Afterwards, you have free time. Due to the hotel's location near the city center, you can easily reach sights such as the opera house and the Gewandhaus concert hall, as well as the Leipzig main train station on foot.

Day 2 | Leipzig “total”

After breakfast, a knowledgeable tour guide will meet you and show you “his” city. The vibrant past and the dynamic present of the city are visible everywhere. Many anecdotes and legendary tales from the city's history will be presented with a wink during this tour. At the market, view the Old Town Hall, the Barthelshof, and St. Thomas Church. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to explore everything you have seen on your own. In the evening, you will “dine” in the setting of Goethe's legendary “Faust” – in Auerbach's Cellar.

Day 3 | Wörlitz – Lutherstadt Wittenberg

Today, you will take an excursion to Wörlitz, once also called “Venice of Anhalt.” The decision of Prince Franz of Anhalt Dessau to create extensive gardens in Wörlitz based on English models made Wörlitz known beyond its borders early on. In the afternoon, you will follow the traces of the Lutheran Reformation and visit its main place of activity, Wittenberg. Experience a piece of world history and encounter the famous reformer Dr. Martin Luther and his contemporaries, whose traces can still be traced in the old town of Wittenberg today. In addition to the UNESCO World Heritage Luther memorials, there is much to discover. The famous Theses Door, as well as the residences of Luther and Melanchthon and the town church, are on your sightseeing agenda. Back in Leipzig, the evening is at your leisure.

Day 4 | Naumburg – Return Journey

After breakfast, you will begin your journey home. In the old wine and trading town of Naumburg, you will make a stop. Nowhere else in Europe, and thus in the world, are there so many buildings and monuments from the High Middle Ages. The city greets you from afar with the four towers of the cathedral, which houses the world-famous twelve donor figures of an unnamed Naumburg master inside. After a guided tour of the cathedral, you will have some time for an individual lunch break. Stroll through the magnificent Naumburg marketplace and the winding streets of the old town. With many beautiful impressions in your travel luggage, you will then begin your return journey.
