Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in Reims
Departure in the morning and drive to the capital of Champagne – Reims. During a city tour, you will see the historic city center and the famous Gothic coronation cathedral with the legendary smiling angel. In the late afternoon, check into the hotel. To conclude today, we invite you to dinner at the Brasserie Excelsior, including ½ bottle of Champagne.
Day 2 | Hautvillers – Paris
In the morning, you will first drive to the beautiful vineyards of Champagne. Hautvillers is considered the cradle of Champagne. Here, the monk Dom Pérignon invented the production of this special drink in the local abbey. You will visit a small but excellent winemaker and enjoy a fantastic panoramic view over the vineyards and the Marne Valley to nearby Épernay during a tasting, including a small snack. Continue to the medieval fortified town of Provins. This completely preserved town with its 58 monuments has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. During a city tour, you will discover the sights of its eventful past. Continue to Paris and check into a 4-star hotel (local category). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 | Paris and Montmartre
In the morning, you will experience the charm of the city on the Seine during a city tour. You will see the most beautiful squares, buildings, and neighborhoods of the city, such as the Champs-Élysées, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre, and much more. The tour ends in the area of the opera, and you will have free time to stroll and shop. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat trip on the Seine, where you can once again review the city from the water. Afterwards, take the funicular to Montmartre. The legendary artists' quarter around the famous Basilica of Sacré-Coeur offers you a magnificent view over Paris. End the evening with dinner in a historic restaurant where many famous artists, such as van Gogh, have spent their evenings. Enjoy a 3-course menu including wine to the sounds of French chansons. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 4 | Return Journey
After a leisurely breakfast, you will have another opportunity to explore Paris on your own. Immerse yourself once again in the atmospheric Paris. The world city has preserved its own charm: sometimes pompous, sometimes quirky and small. Around noon, you will leave Paris – enjoyable days come to an end, and you will begin your journey home.
