Travel Features
Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in Reims
Departure in the morning and drive to the capital of Champagne – Reims. During a city tour, you will see the historic city center and the famous Gothic coronation cathedral with the legendary smiling angel. In the late afternoon, check into the hotel. To conclude today, we invite you to dinner at the Brasserie Excelsior, including a ½ bottle of champagne.
Day 2 | Hautvillers – Paris
In the morning, you will first drive to the beautiful vineyards of Champagne. Hautvillers is considered the cradle of champagne. Here, the monk Dom Pérignon invented the production of this special drink in the local abbey. You will visit a small but excellent winemaker and can enjoy the fantastic panoramic view over the vineyards and the Marne Valley up to nearby Épernay during a tasting including a small snack. Continue to Paris. During a city tour, you will experience the charm of the city on the Seine. You will see the most beautiful squares, buildings, and districts of the city, such as the Champs-Élysées, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre, and much more. Afterward, check into a 4-star hotel (local category). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 | Île de la Cité – Notre Dame –
Montmartre
In the 3rd century BC, a fishing family from the Celtic tribe of the Parisii settled on an island in the Seine, unaware that their small settlement would later become the Roman Lutetia and many years later the capital Paris. Discover this fascinating piece of Paris with our guide, including the Notre Dame Cathedral. Afterward, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Seine, where you can review the city once again from the water. The rest of the afternoon is yours to stroll and shop. In the late afternoon, take the funicular to Montmartre. The legendary artists' district around the famous Basilica of Sacré-Cœur offers you a magnificent view over Paris. End the evening with dinner in a historic restaurant, where many famous artists, such as van Gogh, have spent their evenings. Enjoy a 3-course menu including wine to the sounds of French chansons. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 4 | Return Journey
After a leisurely breakfast, you have another opportunity to explore Paris on your own. Immerse yourself once again in the atmospheric Paris. The world city has preserved its own charm: sometimes pompous, sometimes quirky and small. Around noon, you will leave Paris – enjoyable days come to an end, and you will begin your journey home.
