Strasbourg - Christmas Market

In 1570, the Strasbourg Christmas Market was held for the first time. Its size and location in the heart of the capital of Europe make it the most famous of the Alsatian Christmas markets. In the history of Alsatian Christmas, it holds a very special place: the famous "Christkindelsmärik" on Place Broglie is considered the oldest Christmas market in France! However, the Christkindelsmärik is not the only Christmas market in Strasbourg. The typical wooden stalls of the Christmas markets can also be found in many other squares of the city.
