Travel Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival in South Tyrol

Departure in the morning and drive to South Tyrol. In Natz-Schabs, you will be warmly welcomed at the hotel.

Day 2 | Seiser Alm

The Seiser Alm is a paradise for all hiking enthusiasts. Your circular hike today starts in Compatsch. The high plateau of the Seiser Alm has some small elevations from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dolomites. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Difficulty level: easy

Elevation gain: approx. 400 m

Walking time: approx. 3 hours (approx. 10 km)

Day 3 | Neustift Monastery – Brixen

Today's hike takes you from the hotel to Raas and further to the Augustinian monastery Neustift – the largest monastery complex in Tyrol. From there, you will continue along the Eisack River to the bishop's city of Brixen, the oldest city in South Tyrol. Immerse yourself in the flair of this historically rich cultural city. You will walk back to Natz/Schabs (Alternatively, return by bus).

Elevation gain: approx. 300 m

Walking time: approx. 2.5 – 3 hours (approx. 14 – 21 km)

Day 4 | Villnöss

You will take the bus to the beautiful Villnöss Valley up to the Zanser Alm at 1,680 m altitude. Along a babbling mountain stream, through forests and over alpine meadows with a magnificent variety of flowers, you will hike to the Gampenalm (2,062 m), which lies between the Villnöss Geisler and the Peitlerkofel. From there, you will continue over alpine meadows and steeper serpentine paths to the Schlüterhütte, located at 2,306 m at the transition to the Ladin Dolomite valleys. Due to its excellent location, you can enjoy a fantastic view. Over grassy ridges and a narrow path, you will finally reach the Zendleser Kofel. Return in the afternoon to the Zanser Alm and transfer to the hotel.

Walking time: approx. 5 – 6 hours (approx. 12 km)

Day 5 | Rodenecker Alm

Today, you will take the alpine bus to the Rodenecker Alm to climb your first peak. From the parking lot at Zumis, you will hike through a spruce and larch forest and over wide alpine pastures to the Roderalm (1,832 m). Over a grassy slope and past numerous alpine huts, you will reach the Starkenfeldhütte (1,936 m). From there, a wide path leads to the western foot of the Astjoch, from where you will ascend to the summit, the Burgstall (2,194 m), via a not too difficult trail. Enjoy the magnificent panoramic view over the valley basin.

Walking time: approx. 5 hours (approx. 16 km)

Day 6 | Free Time

Today is at your leisure. Perhaps you will participate in an apple hike led by the host Thomas and learn many interesting facts about apples.

Day 7 | Plose Brixen – Dolomites Panorama Trail

You will take the public bus to the ski hut. From there, you will hike with magnificent views of the Dolomites with Peitlerkofel, Aferer, and Villnöss Geisler to the Schatzerhütte and further to the Wackererjoch and lake. You will hike along a beautiful high path to the Rossalm and then return to the ski hut.
