Day 1 | Braunschweig – Arrival in Magdeburg

Departure in the morning and drive to Braunschweig. The Lion City impresses with its rich history, vibrant cultural scene, and attractive city center. Stroll individually in the footsteps of the Welfs and Hanseatic merchants, feel the charm of the nearly one-thousand-year-old city in historical squares and alleys. Afterwards, continue your journey to Magdeburg. Check into your room and enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 | Magdeburg

In the morning, be surprised by an exciting guided tour through the historic cathedral district of Magdeburg. Learn interesting stories about the past and present of the district and be impressed by the architecture. You will embark on a journey through the medieval history of the city with its cathedral, monastery, and prince's wall, leading to modern Magdeburg with Hundertwasser's Green Citadel. Afterwards, it's time to set sail on a boat trip on the Elbe heading south along the city skyline and the sights of Magdeburg. Back on land, the rest of the day is at your leisure. Individual dinner in the city.

Day 3 | Stendal – Jerichow Monastery

After breakfast, you will travel to the nearby Stendal. This jewel of brick Gothic located on the Uchte was founded in 1160 by Margrave Albrecht of Brandenburg. During a guided tour, you will follow the traces of the Hanseatic League. The market square with its town hall, St. Mary's Church, and the third largest Roland statue in Germany is particularly worth seeing. Afterwards, you have the opportunity for an individual lunch break. Well-nourished, you will continue in the afternoon past Tangermünde to Jerichow Monastery. Gain exciting insights into the history and significance of the Romanesque complex and the life of the canons of the Premonstratensian Order. Back in Magdeburg, the evening is at your leisure. Individual dinner in the city.

Day 4 | Bauhaus City Dessau

Today you will take an excursion to Dessau. Experience a city full of surprises and get to know Dessau from its authentic side. Dessau has an eight-hundred-year history, offers four UNESCO World Heritage sites, and is a place where the life paths of many famous personalities intersected. The city tour will first take you to the historic center of the former residence city of Dessau with the city palace, the palace church, and the market. You will visit the Bauhaus and the Masters' Houses, architecture of the classical modern era. Experience the floodplain landscape of the Elbe at the Kornhaus. Afterwards, you will have free time and the opportunity for an individual lunch break. Before you return to the hotel, visit Mosigkau Palace – a gem of the Rococo. The palace was built by Princess Anna Wilhelmine of Anhalt-Dessau as a summer residence. It is referred to by its admirers as the "little Sanssouci" and is one of the last largely preserved Rococo ensembles in Central Germany. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 5 | Goslar – Return Journey

After breakfast, you will begin your return journey. No matter which direction you come from – you cannot miss the imperial city of Goslar. Due to its many sights – including the historic old town with its impressive number of beautiful half-timbered and stone houses, the almost intact medieval city fortifications, numerous churches and hospitals, as well as the imperial palace – it is also called "Northern Rome" or "Treasury of the German Emperors." You will have the opportunity for individual sightseeing. Afterwards, you will return home with many beautiful impressions in your travel luggage.
