Bad Hofgastein in the Gastein Valley

Experience wonderful vacation moments in the Gastein Valley, which is embedded in the impressive nature of the Salzburg Alps. Bad Hofgastein, the charming, vibrant holiday resort, is located in the middle of the approximately 40 km long Gastein Valley, at about 860 meters. Day 1 | Arrival in Salzburg Land

Departure in the morning and drive to Bad Hofgastein in the beautiful Gastein Valley. Room allocation and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 | Bad Hofgastein & Gastein Valley

This morning you will get to know your holiday destination better. Afterwards, you will take a lovely excursion through the Gastein Valley and be introduced to the towns of Dorfgastein and Bad Gastein. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3 | Raurisertal – Valley of Gold

Today you will take a beautiful trip to Raurisertal, the hidden gem in the Hohe Tauern National Park. For centuries, Raurisertal was considered the center of gold mining in Austria. Today, you can go on a treasure hunt, following in the footsteps of the past gold rush era. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 | Zell am See

After a hearty breakfast, you will start a trip to Zell am See. The historic old town of Zell with its historic city center is worth seeing. A small walk along the lake promenade should not be missed either. Back at the hotel, there is time to visit the Vitaloase or relax with coffee and cake on the sun terrace. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 | Kaprun – High Mountain Reservoirs

The excursion leads to Kaprun to the marvel of technology. Nestled like fjords in the alpine landscape are the two high mountain reservoirs Wasserfallboden and Mooserboden. In the massive dam walls that hold back the turquoise water, the turbines are hidden: This generates electricity all year round. You will participate in a dam wall tour. The transfer to the Kaprun reservoirs is already an experience – with a transfer bus and funicular, you will ascend to 2,040 meters above sea level, breathtaking views guaranteed! You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 6 | Free Time

Enjoy your last day of vacation and design the day according to your taste. The Gastein Card offers you many discounts in the Gastein Valley; you will receive more detailed information on-site at the hotel reception.

Day 7 | Return Journey

Wonderful vacation days come to an end, and after breakfast, you will begin your journey home.

The hotel is located on the edge of the idyllic spa park, and the town center is just a few minutes' walk away. The Gasteiner Alpentherme with its two unique thermal bathing lakes can be reached in less than five minutes on foot. For those who have difficulty walking, there is a free city bus that stops right in front of the hotel. Surrounded by a huge garden, the sun terrace, walking paths, and a small pond invite you to stroll. All rooms are equipped with a shower or bathtub, toilet, TV, telephone, safe, Wi-Fi, and a balcony or terrace.
