Day 1 | Arrival in Schwerin

Arrival in Schwerin and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 | Schwerin & the Schwerin Inner Lake

Drive to the old town of Schwerin. During a guided tour, you will discover the most beautiful sides of the state capital, followed by some time for your own explorations. After that, you will start your cycling tour around the Schwerin Inner Lake. You will cycle on quiet paths through the diverse landscape of Mecklenburg, passing fields, meadows, and small woods, with beautiful views of the lake along the way. A detour will take you to the bathing area of Godern. There will be time for a break or a small snack (self-pay). Afterwards, you will continue through the charming surroundings back to Schwerin. Depending on the pace, there is the possibility in the late afternoon for a boat tour on Lake Schwerin (for an additional fee) or a stroll through the city. In both cases, the return to the hotel will be self-organized. Alternatively, you can cycle directly to the hotel accompanied by the cycling tour guide.

Day 3 | Wismar & Island of Poel

After breakfast, you will travel to the historic Hanseatic city of Wismar. During a city tour, you will discover the charming old town with its magnificent brick buildings, the impressive marketplace, and the imposing churches. Afterwards, you will start your cycling tour to the Island of Poel. You will reach the island via well-maintained paths and cycle through the diverse coastal landscape with wide fields, meadows, and beautiful views of the Baltic Sea. In Kirchdorf, the main town of the island, you will visit the island museum. After that, you will continue your cycling tour through the picturesque island and coastal landscape. There will be time for an individual break, and beautiful views of the Baltic Sea will open up again and again. At the lighthouse, you will meet the bus that will take you back to the hotel.

Day 4 | Schaalsee – Monastery

Today you will start directly from the hotel by bike and ride to Zarrentin at Schaalsee. Your route will take you through the varied landscape of Mecklenburg via Groß Rogahn, Strahlendorf, Parum, and Dreilützow. In Zarrentin, there will be time for an individual break. You will be guided through the former Cistercian monastery, including the church and local museum. The moor experience trail at the information center Pahlhuus also invites you to discover the unique nature and cultural landscape of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Schaalsee. After that, you will continue your cycling tour towards Groß Zecher. There will be time for an individual coffee break along the way. Afterwards, the bus will take you back to the hotel.

Day 5 | Departure

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye. With many beautiful impressions of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, you will begin your journey home.
