Christmas in the Chiemgau Alps

Day 1 | Arrival Inzell

Departure in the morning and drive to the Chiemgau Alps. In Inzell, you will be warmly welcomed at the 4-star hotel. The spa town of Inzell is also fondly referred to as the “Gateway to Berchtesgaden Land.” Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 | Chiemgau Alps

Today you will take an excursion into the Chiemgau Alps, which show their quietest and most impressive side in winter. Nestled between gentle mountains and Lake Chiemsee, you can expect an impressive winter landscape. The famous sports resorts like Ruhpolding and Reit im Winkl are a must on your excursion. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3 | Chiemsee – Fraueninsel

After breakfast, you will travel to Lake Chiemsee and reach Fraueninsel by boat. The small, romantic, and beautiful island, with its centuries-old and historically significant Benedictine convent, will fascinate you. Stroll past the closely packed houses of the islanders and escape the hustle and bustle in the 1200-year-old Frauenwörth convent. You will return to Prien by boat, where you will have the opportunity for an individual break. The return journey to the hotel takes you past Kloster Seeon, a former Benedictine monastery. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 | Berchtesgaden – Christmas Eve

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, the drive will take you to Berchtesgaden, where the Berchtesgaden Advent attracts with much craftsmanship, regional products, and living tradition. The royal castle and the historic townhouses provide an idyllic backdrop for around 50 lovingly decorated Advent huts. During a guided tour, you will get to know the festive Berchtesgaden. Of course, there will also be time for an individual stroll through the Advent market. Back at the hotel, from 4:00 PM, you will be welcomed at the hotel bar with hot drinks and sweet treats to get into the Christmas Eve spirit. With harp music and festive delicacies, you are sure to spend wonderful hours.

Day 5 | Free Time

Enjoy today and shape it according to your wishes. The small but fine town center of Inzell invites you to stroll. Perhaps you will also take a little snow hike. There are numerous well-marked hiking trails – don’t miss out on the winter magic. Treat yourself to a little relaxation time in the hotel’s sauna area and feel the soothing warmth. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 | Emperor's Tour with Kufstein

Today, after breakfast, you will start a “Kaiser Tour” and circle the beautiful and fascinating mountain massifs of the Wild and Tame Kaiser. You will pass famous places like Kössen, St. Johann, and Kufstein. You will return to your hotel for dinner. Note: The route is subject to weather conditions and will be adjusted accordingly.

Day 7 | Return Journey

After a final cozy breakfast, you will begin your journey home.
