Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in Lyon (approx. 639 km)
Departure in the morning and drive to Lyon. The city between the Rhône and Saône uniquely combines history, culture, and French lifestyle. Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel Eastlodge Lyon Est (local category).
Day 2 | Lyon – Salou (approx. 739 km)
After breakfast, continue your journey past Perpignan and Barcelona to Salou. Dinner and overnight stay in a good mid-range hotel.
Day 3 | Salou – Roquetas de Mar (approx. 699 km)
Breakfast and continue to Roquetas de Mar for an overnight stay at the 4-star Hotel Playacapricho (local category).
Day 4 | Roquetas de Mar – Nerja – Benalmádena (approx. 211 km)
After breakfast, the drive takes you to Nerja, a charming village with beautiful beaches and the Balcón de Europa, a spectacular viewpoint over the Mediterranean. Day 5 | Free Time
Today is all yours! Enjoy relaxing hours at the nearby sandy beach or take a stroll along the promenade. The marina “Puerto Marina” invites you to linger with its restaurants, shops, and special flair.
Day 6 | Málaga (approx. 18 km)
Today you will take an excursion to Málaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol. During a city tour, you will get to know the city better. The city, birthplace of Pablo Picasso, delights with a charming old town where narrow streets, historical buildings, and modern influences harmoniously combine. Sights such as the imposing cathedral, the Moorish Alcazaba, and the Roman theater tell of a turbulent past. Afterwards, you will visit the Gibralfaro Castle. Located on a mountain, it dominates the entire city and offers a unique view. After some free time, you will return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 | Granada (approx. 144 km)
After breakfast, you will drive through the mountains towards Granada, located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. The city uniquely combines Moorish heritage and Spanish joie de vivre and is especially known for the world-famous Alhambra. You will visit the city center on foot, where the Isabel-La-Católica Square and the Alcaicería (Arab silk market) are located. Of course, you will also have free time to visit the cathedral and the Royal Chapel or to go shopping through the small alleys with their countless shops. In the afternoon, you will visit the impressive Alhambra and the gardens of the Generalife. High above the city, the extensive palace complex stands like a fortress and offers a spectacular view of Granada and the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 9 | Ronda (approx. 111 km)
Breakfast and drive to the mountainous region “Serrania de Ronda”. After a short time, you will leave the coast of the Costa del Sol and immerse yourself in the impressive landscape of Andalusia. With every curve, nature becomes more pristine and tranquil. Upon arrival in Ronda, you will find one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. Famous for its spectacular location on a rocky plateau and the impressive gorge “El Tajo”, Ronda seems almost like a different time. Celts, Phoenicians, Arabs, and Romans have left historical traces. You will see the parish church of Santa Maria, where Roman, Arab, and Gothic styles unite, the old town, which is divided in two by the one-hundred-meter-deep El Tajo river, the Bosco House, the New Bridge, and the bullring, which was built entirely of stone in 1784 and is considered the oldest bullring in Spain. Return to the hotel and dinner.
Day 10 | Free Time
Today is once again all yours. Enjoy the diversity of the coastal town in a relaxed manner. The beach invites you to unwind.
Day 11 | Benalmádena – Madrid (approx. 546 km)
Today it is time to say goodbye to Benalmádena. The drive leads to Madrid, the vibrant capital of Spain. On foot, you will walk in the footsteps of the Habsburgs and see, among other things, the Plaza Mayor and the Puerta del Sol as well as the Royal Palace (exterior visits). Afterwards, dinner and overnight stay at the 4-star Hotel Praga (local category) in Madrid.
Day 12 | Madrid – Bilbao – Hondarribia (approx. 523 km)
After breakfast, you will continue your journey towards Bilbao. The traditional fishing and trading port is located at the mouth of the Nevión River. Nestled between green hills and not far from the Atlantic, Bilbao uniquely combines nature, culture, and modern lifestyle. After the city tour, you will visit the protected old town, which houses a great variety of architectural styles. In the evening, you will reach Hondarribia. Day 13 | Hondarribia – Tours (approx. 573 km)
