A highlight is the ride on the world-famous Flåm Railway, which takes you through stunning mountain landscapes on one of the most spectacular train routes in the world. Day 1 | Overnight Stop (approx. 835 km)

Departure in the morning and drive over the German-Danish border towards Vejle for the overnight stop. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 | Embarkation Hirtshals – Ferry Crossing – World of Fjords (approx. 275 km)

Continue to the picturesque holiday resort of Skagen, a traditional coastal town with a distinctive maritime flair. You have the opportunity for an individual lunch break. Refreshed, you will then take a ride on the tractor train “Sandwurm” to Grenen, the northernmost point of Jutland, where the waves of Skagerrak and Kattegat visibly meet. To conclude, you will see the buried church, of which only the white church tower rises from the dunes, before boarding the Fjord Lines in Hirtshals towards Bergen. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Norway's coast and fjord landscape during your journey. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 3 | From the Hanseatic City to the Fjord Paradise

(approx. 144 km)

After a short stop in Stavanger, the ferry sails along the west Norwegian fjord coast with numerous islands to Bergen. After disembarking, you will discover the Hanseatic Quarter Bryggen during a city tour. Here, the German merchants once had their trading offices. Experience the relaxed atmosphere of this beautiful city! You will then continue your journey to Ulvik. You will be warmly welcomed at the 4-star Brakanes Hotel (local category).

Day 4 | Natural Wonders of Hardangervidda

(approx. 103 km)

Today, you can look forward to an excursion to Hardangervidda, the largest plateau in Europe, which impresses with its vast, almost untouched landscape. At around 1,200 meters above sea level, a panorama of extraordinary expanse opens up. You will reach Eidfjord via the longest suspension bridge in the world, the Hardanger Bridge. Here, you will visit the Norsk Natursenter. During a film presentation on one of the largest panoramic screens in Europe, you will learn about Norwegian nature as well as its flora and fauna. The journey then continues through the narrow Måbødal, whose steep rock walls and artfully constructed tunnels shape the spectacular transition from Hardangerfjord to the plateau. A highlight of the day is the famous Vøringsfossen, one of Norway's most impressive natural monuments. The waterfall plunges about 145 m into the depths, captivating with its massive backdrop. You will return to your hotel in Ulvik for dinner.

Day 5 | Norway's Fjord World – Flåm Railway

(approx. 209 km)

The destination of today's tour is the “King of the Fjords,” the Sognefjord. You will first drive along the Stalheim Mountain Road to Gudvangen. From here, you will embark on a approximately 2-hour boat trip through the Nærøy and Aurlandfjord to Flåm. The Nærøyfjord is surrounded by steep mountains that rise up to 1,800 m above sea level, and waterfalls cascade down the mountains. This area is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is considered one of the most beautiful fjord landscapes in the world. Upon arrival in Flåm, you will have some free time and the opportunity to visit the Flåm Railway Museum. In the afternoon, you will then experience a train ride on one of the steepest railway lines in the world: on almost 80% of the route, the gradient is 5.5%. The train journey with the Flåm Railway from Flåm to Myrdal takes you through a fantastic landscape, through about 20 tunnels and past a waterfall. Upon arrival in Myrdal, you will transfer to the Bergen Railway, which will take you to Voss. After a day full of beautiful impressions, you will return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 | Stavanger – Farewell to the Fjords (approx. 265 km)

After breakfast, you will leave Ulvik and drive along a scenic route to Stavanger. The picturesque old town “Gamle Stavanger” with its lovingly preserved white wooden houses invites you to stroll, while the lively harbor with cafes, restaurants, and shops invites you to linger. In the evening, you will board the Fjord Lines, which will take you overnight to Hirtshals. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 7 | Arrival Hirtshals – Hanseatic City of Hamburg (approx. 515 km)

In the morning, you will reach Hirtshals, and an impressive journey comes to an end. Passing the varied landscape of Jutland, the drive continues towards Hamburg for an overnight stay at the 4-star Mercure Hamburg Mitte hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 | Return Journey (approx. 590 km)

Early risers can visit the famous fish market this morning (open from 05:00 – 09:30; individual round trip). Located directly on the Elbe, you can expect a unique atmosphere with market stalls offering fresh fish, regional specialties, fruits, flowers, and many other goods. After breakfast, you will begin your journey home with many beautiful memories in your luggage.
