It is known for its high-quality wine and the famous Wachau apricot. The region is characterized by its steep wine terraces, impressive monasteries, and the picturesque river landscape of the Danube. Cycle leisurely along the Danube, even up to the castle, and discover the beautiful landscapes and sights. You can easily reach the waltz city of Vienna with our bus.

Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in the Danube Valley
Departure in the morning and drive to Emmersdorf-Luberegg. Room allocation and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 | Melk – Nibelungen Valley
You only need to cycle a short distance to Melk to visit the famous Melk Abbey. As a landmark of the Wachau, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. After a short stroll through the old town of Melk, you will cycle over Loosdorf through the fields, which offer a wide view of the picturesque landscape. A short ascent leads up to the impressive Schallaburg. The effort is rewarded – you can look forward to a wonderful view, a castle tour, and the Renaissance garden. Below the castle complex, in Anzendorf, you will take your individual lunch break. Now you cycle to the banks of the Danube and reach the Nibelungen city of Pöchlarn. The Renaissance castle Artstetten majestically overlooks the river. Along the banks of the Danube, you will reach the hotel.

Day 3 | Imperial Flair in the Austrian Capital
Magnificent architecture, imperial flair, and coffee specialties… you will spend today in the city of Vienna, which you can easily reach by our bus. You will embark on a city tour, where you will see the magnificent buildings of the Vienna Ring Road, numerous sights, and Schönbrunn Palace. After an exterior visit of the palace, you will have the opportunity for a walk through the palace park, and there will still be time for your own city explorations. Enjoy and experience the many facets of this diverse metropolis. Return to the Wachau to the hotel.
Day 4 | Wachau – Danube – Apricot
You will cycle through the charming Wachau, partly along the famous Danube cycle path, past small villages and steep vineyards to Aggsbach. In Willendorf, the discovery of the famous “Venus” reminds us of prehistory. Just before Spitz, you will visit an apricot farmer with product presentation and tasting. Continuing over Spitz and past the fortified church of St. Michael to Dürnstein with its prominently visible blue abbey tower. In the castle ruins, King Richard the Lionheart was once held captive. Finally, you will reach Krems, whose old town is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Wachau. Here, at the apricot festival, you can expect culinary specialties and sweet apricot temptations. You will cycle along the right bank of the Danube to St. Lorenz and cross the Danube via a ferry. At Weißenkirchen, our travel bus will be waiting for your return to the hotel.

Day 5 | Return Journey
After breakfast, you will begin your journey home with many beautiful impressions in your travel luggage.
