Today you will explore Saxon Switzerland. The journey first leads to the former summer residence of the Saxon kings, Pillnitz Castle with its parklands. After a visit to the castle park, you will continue to the Bastei. The view from the Bastei over the Elbe Valley, onto the table mountains of Saxon Switzerland, and far into the neighboring landscape of the Bohemian Switzerland and the Ore Mountains is world-famous. After a short walk over the Bastei Bridge, you will take a panoramic drive through Saxon Switzerland to Königstein, with the fortress Königstein towering high above. From here, it’s "all aboard" for a boat trip through one of the most spectacular regions of Germany. In Pirna, you will disembark and take the bus back to Dresden. Individual evening arrangements.

Between vineyards and the Elbe, right at the gates of Dresden, lies Radebeul, also known as the "Saxon Nice." Here you will visit the castle known from the fairy tale film "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" and named after Duke Moritz. You will then reach Meissen by bus.
