Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival (approx. 594 km)

Departure in the morning and drive towards Normandy. In the afternoon, you will reach the most impressive city of Normandy, Rouen. Here, a guided city tour awaits you. Numerous secular and religious buildings from the Middle Ages to modern times testify to an eventful history. Afterwards, you will be warmly welcomed at the 4-star Hotel Mercure Rouen Champ de Mars (local category). Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 | Honfleur and Alabaster Coast
(approx. 230 km)

After breakfast, you will drive to Deauville for a visit. Then you will reach Honfleur, a picturesque fishing and artists' town. After a tour, you will continue over the world's largest cable-stayed bridge, the “Pont de Normandie,” and reach the Alabaster Coast near Le Havre. You will best discover the uniqueness of this coastal strip during a walk to the two chalk cliffs of Etretat. You will return to your hotel in Rouen for dinner.

Day 3 | Caen – Arromanches – Saint-Malo
(approx. 340 km)

After breakfast, you will take a guided stroll through the vibrant university city of Caen, visiting the Men's Abbey, the Women's Abbey, the castle, and the beautiful alleys. Then you will drive to the former landing beaches of the Allies. You will start with a visit to the German War Cemetery “La Cambe” and the American Cemetery on the coast of Omaha Beach, as well as Arromanches, where the landing of Allied troops in World War II began. In the evening, you will reach Saint-Malo. Check-in at the 3-star Hôtel de l'Univers Saint-Malo. Dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Day 4 | Le Mont-Saint-Michel – Calvados and Cancale (approx. 203 km)

Today you will leave your hotel and first visit Le Mont-Saint-Michel. The monastery rock rises solitary from the tidal landscape, and the abbey is considered a wonder of the Western world. After an individual visit, you will visit a Calvados distillery with a tasting. In the afternoon, you will drive to the fishing village of Cancale, known for its oysters. Of course, a tasting should not be missed here either. Return to Saint-Malo and dinner at a restaurant.

Day 5 | Saint-Malo – Free Time

During a walk, let yourself be transported back to the Middle Ages. The return to Saint-Malo will be along the Emerald Coast and Cap Fréhel. At Cap Fréhel, the pink, gray, and black sandstone shimmers and offers an impressive natural spectacle. Afterwards, you will drive back to Saint-Malo via Dinard.
