Immerse yourself in the world of shipbuilding and experience the labor-intensive production process and the incomparable glamour of the cruise giants up close. Afterwards, you will continue to Emden to your hotel. Check-in and dinner.
Day 2 | Island of Norderney
After breakfast, you will travel to Norddeich. From there, a ship will take you to the East Frisian island of Norderney. The crossing itself is already a special experience. On the island, a tour with the Bömmelbahn awaits you. Along the way, you will receive numerous current information about the island of Norderney as well as interesting historical backgrounds. A short stop is planned at Oase Beach. Norderney uniquely combines urban and cultural life with impressive nature and a special habitat. After the tour, you will have some free time before returning to your hotel for dinner.
Day 3 | Island of Langeoog
After breakfast, you will travel to Bensersiel. From here, you will reach the island of Langeoog by ship. The car-free island with a North Sea climate is characterized by wild dune landscapes, blooming meadows, and a 14 km long sandy beach. Already in 1830, the first official bath guest was recorded here – at a time when Langeoog had only 35 inhabitants. By 1863, almost 200 people lived on the island, and the first guesthouse was built. Since 1949, the island has been steadily growing as a North Sea spa. After a short ride on the Bimmelbahn from the harbor to the village, you will have free time. How about a visit to the shipping museum in the "Haus der Insel" or the water tower built in 1909? In the late afternoon, return to the mainland and back to the hotel.
Day 4 | East Friesland Tour
Today, you will undertake an East Friesland tour starting from the hotel to the Emden inner harbor with the harbor gate, where the museum fire ship Deutsche Bucht is also located. In the background, you can see the historic town hall, and opposite is the Dat Otto Huus with the Ottifanten traffic light. Via Suurhusen, with the church featuring the leaning tower, you will reach Greetsiel. Discover the fishing village with its maritime character during an individual stroll. The historic gabled houses from the 17th and 18th centuries and the nearby Pilsumer Lighthouse give the place a very special charm. In the afternoon, you will visit the seal breeding station in Norden. There is a lot to discover here. Seal pups that lose their mothers are taken in at the seal station and cared for, raised, and then returned to the North Sea by the staff. A comprehensive exhibition and event program, as well as the little marine mammals themselves, showcase the responsible task of the seal station. In the evening, you will return to your hotel for dinner.
