Day 1 | Arrival in St. Georgen im Attergau

Departure in the morning and drive towards Salzkammergut. In St. Georgen im Attergau, you will be warmly welcomed at the hotel with a welcome schnapps. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 | Salzburg Lake District

Today you will take a trip to the Salzburg Lake District. On the way, you will visit a cheese dairy and receive interesting information about cheese production. Continue through the Flachgau region, with its lake landscape (Mattsee, Obertrumer See), to one of the beautiful Salzburg panoramic mountains with impressive views. In the afternoon, you can strengthen yourself with coffee and cake. At Mondsee, it’s time to set sail for a round trip. Enjoy the beautiful backdrop with views of the Drachenwand and Schafberg. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3 | Bad Ischl – Gmunden

After breakfast, you will drive to Bad Ischl and explore the imperial city with a sightseeing train. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the famous K&K confectionery Zauner. Continue to Gmunden. There, you will visit the historic city with Kammerhof, the carillon at the town square, and the esplanade. In the afternoon, the drive takes you up to Gmunden Mountain with a great view of Traunstein. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 | Salzburg

After breakfast, you will visit Mozart's romantic city of Salzburg. During a city tour, you will discover the most important sights. No other city offers so many churches in a small area, and hardly any other city has so much history to tell. Afterwards, there will be plenty of time to explore Salzburg on your own. Stroll through the gardens of Mirabell Palace, experience the charming old town, and of course the famous Getreidegasse. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 5 | Great Dachstein Tour

Your excursion today takes you over Thalgau and the Wiesbach Valley to the Celtic town of Hallein. After a short tour, you will continue via Abtenau and the Gschütt Pass to Gosau. From there, you will reach the Gosausee, which lies beautifully at the foot of the Dachstein. The view over the protected mountain lake and the Dachstein, the highest mountain in Salzkammergut (2,996 m), is one of the most famous photo motifs in the region. Especially the reflection of the Dachstein in the crystal-clear glacial water of the Gosausee is a natural spectacle. You have the opportunity for an individual lunch break or a short walk along the lake. Continue via Bad Goisern to Traunkirchen on Lake Traun. From here, you will return to the hotel with many beautiful impressions. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 | Return Journey

Today it’s time to say goodbye, and after breakfast, you will begin your journey home.

As one of the most traditional establishments in Attergau, the hotel has been run by the same family for three generations.
