Visiting the 'Mountain Doctor'

Day 1 | Arrival in Going am Wilden Kaiser

Departure in the morning and drive to Going am Wilden Kaiser. Warm welcome at the hotel, check-in, and then dinner.

Day 2 | Bergdoktor-Gruberhof & Wilder Kaiser

With the tour guide, visit the film location Gruberhof, the home of the mountain doctor. Located at around 1,200 m altitude, the idyllic mountain farm delights with a view of the Kaiser Mountains. After the visit, you will start a round trip around the Wilder Kaiser via Kufstein and Walchsee to St. Johann. Here, there is time for an individual stay before returning to the hotel.

Day 3 | Bergdoktor Experiences

Today you will experience the cinematic home of the mountain doctor. Together with your tour guide, you will stroll through the village square of Going and discover famous filming locations such as Susanne's inn, the film village square "Ellmau", which is actually filmed in Going, the Rococo church, and the Wilder Kaiser. Afterwards, you will head to Ellmau to visit the famous Bergdoktor practice (practice visit may not be possible due to filming). You will take the gondola to Hartkaiser and enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the mountain world known from the TV series. Free time for a small hike or a visit to the mountain restaurant. After descending, return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4 | Departure

Today it is time to say goodbye, and with many experiences, you will begin your journey home.

The family-run Blattlhof in Going offers peace and relaxation in the midst of the Kitzbühel Alps. The rooms feature a balcony, seating area, TV, radio, telephone, hairdryer, safe, and bathrobe.
