Day 1 | Arrival

Drive in the early morning towards the Lüneburg Heath. The first stop is Celle. Let yourself be enchanted by the charm of a young city with a historic cityscape. You have time to stay and take a break. Continue in the afternoon to Bispingen. Here, you will be warmly welcomed at the hotel.

Day 2 | Horse-drawn carriage ride and Walsrode Bird Park

In the morning, we invite you to a cozy horse-drawn carriage ride through the blooming heath landscape. Enjoy the soft clattering of the horse's hooves and the tranquility of nature, and experience the vast heath areas around Wümmeberg and the green valley of Haverbeke. Back in Oberhaverbeck, you will head to the bird park in Walsrode. The World Bird Park Walsrode houses a total of 4,000 birds of 650 different species in a 24-hectare park landscape. It is the largest bird park in the world, one of the ten most species-rich zoos in the world, and thus not only a paradise for animal lovers and garden enthusiasts but also a point of attraction for international bird researchers. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3 | Heath Tour and Lüneburg

Today, you will take a tour through the Lüneburg Heath. Expect bizarre landscapes of hills and juniper bushes, interspersed with old farms, burial mounds, and flocks of heath sheep. Afterwards, you will travel to the “Old Hanseatic City” of Lüneburg. The city, over 1,050 years old, located between Hamburg and Hanover, is one of the most fascinating cities in Northern Germany. Its historic architecture in the style of brick Gothic stands in charming contrast to the lively, young city life. Discover the city during a guided city tour. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4 | Heath Blossom Festival

Amelinghausen (August 23, 2026) or

Schneverdingen (August 30, 2026)

After breakfast, you will travel to the Heath Blossom Festival in Amelinghausen or Schneverdingen. Once a year, from early August to mid-September, the heath landscape of the Lüneburg Heath sinks into a sea of violet heath flowers. And this festival of colors is used by the residents to celebrate their annual heath blossom festival with all interested parties. Of course, the Heath Queen must not be missing at any heath blossom festival. You will have free time (there are no seating arrangements during the parade). Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 5 | Hann. Münden – Return Journey

After breakfast, you will first travel to Hann. Münden. Enjoy your lunch break in the beautiful old town. Afterwards, you will begin your journey home with many beautiful impressions.
