Day 1 | Arrival

Drive in the morning towards the Lüneburg Heath. The first stop is Celle. Let yourself be enchanted by the charm of a young city with a historic cityscape. You will have a stop and the opportunity to take a break. Continue in the afternoon to Walsrode. Here, you will be warmly welcomed at the hotel.

Day 2 | Horse-drawn carriage ride and Walsrode Bird Park

After breakfast, we invite you to a cozy horse-drawn carriage ride through the blooming heath landscape. Enjoy the soft clattering of the horse's hooves and the tranquility of nature, and experience the vast heath areas around Wümmeberg as well as the green valley of Haverbeke. Back in Oberhaverbeck, you will head to the bird park in Walsrode. The World Bird Park Walsrode houses a total of 4,000 birds of 650 different species in a 24-hectare park landscape. It is the largest bird park in the world, one of the ten most species-rich zoos in the world, and thus not only a paradise for animal lovers and garden enthusiasts but also an attraction for international bird researchers. In the evening, you will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3 | Heath excursion and Lüneburg

Today, you will take a trip through the Lüneburg Heath. Expect bizarre landscapes of hills and juniper bushes, interspersed with old farms, burial mounds, and flocks of Heidschnucken sheep. Afterwards, you will travel to the "Old Hanseatic City" of Lüneburg. The city, over 1,050 years old, located between Hamburg and Hanover, is one of the most fascinating cities in Northern Germany. Its historic architecture in the style of brick Gothic stands in charming contrast to the lively, young city life. Discover the city during a guided tour and learn interesting facts about its history and the former salt trade. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4 | Schneverdingen (21.08.2027)

Heath Blossom Festival Schneverdingen (29.08.27)

21.08.27: Look forward to Schneverdingen! Discover the heath garden with over 180 varieties of heather and experience the Heidschnucken lambing in Höpen. During a city tour, you will see the most beautiful sights of Schneverdingen, including a visit to the Peter and Paul Church, which has been the city's landmark since 1746. After an individual lunch break, a guided walk through the fascinating Pietzmoor awaits you (increased difficulty level with a walker - alternatively, guests with a walker can walk part of the way alone and return the same way).

29.08.27: Trip to the Heath Blossom Festival in Schneverdingen. From early August to mid-September, the Lüneburg Heath transforms into a glowing sea of violet heather flowers. Look forward to the traditional festival with the Heath Queen and enjoy free time on site. There will be no seating during the parade. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 5 | Hann. Münden – Return journey

After breakfast, you will first travel to Hann. Münden. Enjoy your lunch break in the beautiful old town. Afterwards, you will begin your journey home with many beautiful impressions.

The hotel is located in the south of the Lüneburg Heath, right on the green outskirts of Walsrode. The modern and comfortably furnished hotel rooms feature a shower, toilet, hairdryer, seating area with desk, Wi-Fi, radio, and TV. Enjoy the indulgent breakfast and dinner at the experience restaurant ANDERS, just a short walk across from the hotel. Relax in the "Dream Room" with a Finnish sauna kota, experience shower, relaxation corner, and relaxation room. Massages are available upon request and for a fee. Note: Room cleaning is done free of charge every 3 to 4 nights out of consideration for nature and resources. Daily cleaning is available for an additional fee.
