Itinerary
Day 1 | Bus Journey
Departure in the early morning and drive to Barcelona for boarding the overnight ferry to Palma. Dinner and overnight stay on board the ferry.
Day 2 | Disembarkation Palma
In the morning, you will arrive at the port of Palma. The island's capital awaits you! Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 | Port d'Andratx – Valldemossa
Breakfast at the hotel. You will spend the morning in Port Andratx. The harbor town is located at a fjord-like bay, surrounded by water and mountains. The foothills of the Tramuntana mountains reach down to the coast, and villas and fincas sit atop the rocky cliffs. Enjoy a leisurely stroll or watch the fishermen in the harbor. One of the most beautiful spots on the island is undoubtedly the dreamy mountain village of Valldemossa (protected monument). The artist couple Frédéric Chopin and George Sand spent a winter in the royal Carthusian monastery of the same name. Noteworthy here are the old pharmacy and a valuable library. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4 | Llucmajor – Manacor – Porto Cristo
After breakfast, you will drive through a colorful landscape to the south of the island, to Llucmajor. Fine sandy beaches and beautiful bays merge along the coast. Here you will visit the weekly market before continuing to the east coast. A short stop is planned at the pearl factory in Manacor. Here you will learn how the “Perlas Majorica” are made. The next destination is the Dragon Caves in Porto Cristo, which feature the largest underground lake in Europe. The system extends over a length of 1,200 meters and reaches a depth of up to 25 meters below the surface. Huge stalagmites and stalactites present themselves in a unique cave system. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 | Binissalem – Formentor – Alcúdia
Today you will travel inland to Binissalem. During a visit to a typical bodega, you can taste the local wine. Then you will continue to the north of the island. One of the highlights of the island is undoubtedly the Formentor Peninsula, where the mountains of the Tramuntana meet the Mediterranean Sea. The area is barren and rocky, offering new views at every turn. In Alcúdia, you will have free time and the opportunity to stroll through the pedestrian zone with its medieval alleys, cozy courtyards, and inviting cafés. For dinner, you will return to your hotel.
Day 6 | Free Time
A day just for you – stroll, shop, relax .... Today, the holiday “Dia de les Illes Balears” takes place in Mallorca. In Palma, a stroll along the Paseo Maritimo and over the Paseo Borne is worthwhile, where traditions are showcased and specialties are offered. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 | Inca – Lluc – Sóller
Breakfast at the hotel. Exactly in the middle between Palma and Pollença lies Inca. After a short stop, you will head deep into the Tramuntana mountains to the pilgrimage site of Lluc Monastery. Pilgrims from all over the world come here to see the famous Black Madonna. The area where the monastery was built has been considered a supernatural power spot since ancient times. Around noon, you will reach the beautiful town of Sóller in the heart of the “Orange Valley”. The town became prosperous due to the abundant orange and lemon groves. In 2011, Sóller was granted UNESCO World Heritage status. From here, you will enjoy a “thrilling” ride with the “Red Lightning”, an old Siemens train, through olive and orange groves back to Palma. Transfer to the hotel and dinner.
Day 8 | City Tour Palma – Free Time
The island capital calls! After breakfast, you will go to Bellver Castle, located west of the port of Palma. Enjoy the magnificent view of the harbor and the old town behind it. Then you will visit the Cathedral of Palma, which towers like a ship over the harbor. Externally, it is pure Gothic, while inside you will find traces of the Art Nouveau architect Antonio Gaudi. The city of Palma presents itself today more beautiful than ever, and the Mediterranean flair is palpable in every corner. The afternoon is entirely yours, and you have the opportunity to explore the city “on your own”. For dinner, you will return to your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 9 | Adios Mallorca – Overnight Stop
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Mallorca. You will take the day ferry from Palma de Mallorca to Barcelona and then begin your journey home. Enjoy the time at sea and reflect on the impressions of the past days. Arrival in Barcelona in the evening. After disembarking, you will have an overnight stop in the Barcelona/Costa Brava area.
Day 10 | Journey Home
With many beautiful memories in your travel luggage, you will begin your journey home after breakfast. Return late at night to your hometown.
