Day 1 | Arrival
Departure in the morning and arrival in Arzl. Check-in and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 | Pitztal
After breakfast, you will take a guided tour through Arzl, visiting the spectacular Benni Raich Bridge, the highest pedestrian suspension bridge in Austria. Admire the gigantic structure of the suspension bridge with a span of 137.70 m. Afterwards, continue through the wild and romantic Pitztal to the valley end at Mittelberg/Mandarfen. Here, you will visit the ibex center. Following the successful reintroduction of the ibex in Pitztal, the visitor center “Am Schrofen” is dedicated to this exciting topic. In a wildlife enclosure, you can observe marmots and ibex at “eye level.” You will return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 3 | Innsbruck – Kühtai
Today, you will take an excursion to the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck. During a short city tour, you will see the most famous sights. The Golden Roof shines glamorously in the old town of Innsbruck. Behind it rises the Nordkette to about 2,300 m. Afterwards, you will have some free time. The return trip to the hotel will take you through the beautiful Kühtai. The rugged mountain peaks of the western Stubai Alps are almost within reach in Kühtai. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 | Kaunertal – Distillery
After breakfast, the drive takes you through the Upper Inn Valley, past the Gepatsch reservoir to the Kaunertal Glacier at 2,840 m. The Kaunertal Glacier Road is one of the most impressive mountain routes in the Alps! At the valley entrance, you will visit the pilgrimage church of Kaltenbrunn. In 1511, Kaltenbrunn in Kaunertal became a pilgrimage site for the mercenaries from Tyrol to the Flemish Netherlands. Back in Pitztal, we invite you to a distillery in the village of Wald. You will receive lots of information about spirits, distillation, and distillation facilities, and of course, you will have the opportunity to taste the fine drops. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 | Stift Stams – Stuiben Waterfall –
Hoch-Imst
In the morning, you will travel to Stift Stams. From afar, you can see the two distinctive onion towers of the magnificent Cistercian monastery Stift Stams. Discover the precious treasures and splendid rooms. Afterwards, continue to the Ötztal with a visit to the mighty Stuiben Waterfall – Tyrol's highest waterfall (159 m). On the return trip towards Pitztal, you will make a stop in the hiking area Hoch-Imst. Thanks to two newly constructed panoramic gondola lifts, you can comfortably go “high up” and enjoy a unique view of the district town of Imst and the surrounding valleys. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 | Day of the Swiss Pine
Today, you will enjoy the scent of the Swiss pine and its variety. Off to Jerzens to the Swiss Pine Museum. Afterwards, you will take the Hochzeiger cable car to Hochzeiger, over 2,000 m with a view into the Inn Valley, and take a walk through the Swiss Pine Park. During the return trip to the hotel, you will stop by Zirben Sepp and have the opportunity to visit the sawmill and purchase Swiss pine products. You will return to your hotel for dinner.
