Day 1 | Arrival in Weimar

Departure in the morning and drive to Weimar. Here, a guided walk through the festively decorated city center awaits you. You will stroll to the historic Weimar Christmas at Herderplatz and continue to the Weimar Christmas at the theater, as well as through Schillerstraße to the Christmas at Goethe on Frauenplan. Discover interesting and surprising facts from the rich Advent history of Weimar: from the first public Christmas tree, of course also about Goethe, to the work of Johannes Daniel Falk, who wrote the first verse of the famous Christmas carol “Oh du fröhliche” here in Weimar. Afterwards, you will have free time at the Christmas market. Look forward to a variety of festive delights, from mulled wine stands to stollen, roasted almonds, and stalls with handicrafts and all things magical. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 | Erfurt – Return Journey

After breakfast, the journey takes you to Erfurt to visit the Christmas market. Visit the attractions of the Erfurt Christmas market, such as the approximately 25-meter-high, festively illuminated Christmas tree, the nativity scene with hand-carved, almost life-sized wooden figures, the 10-meter-high original Erzgebirge Christmas pyramid, and enjoy the festive atmosphere to well-known Christmas melodies and the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread. In the afternoon, you will begin your return journey with many beautiful impressions in your travel luggage.
