Maritime Advent season

During the Advent season, there is always something happening in the Old Country. The cozy atmosphere of the region and the old Hanseatic cities will put you in the right Christmas spirit. But it's not just the great Advent program that makes this trip special, but also the hotel. Claus Peter, owner and head chef, is a well-known cook from radio and television, multiple award-winning and famous for his unusual recipe ideas.

Day 1 | Arrival

Departure in the morning and drive to the Old Country. Welcome to Wingst! At the hotel, you will be warmly welcomed with a welcome drink. For dinner, a North German specialty awaits you: a Frisian Advent roast, flambéed before your eyes with Frisian spirit. For reflective hours, concert pianist Gudrun Senfleben will play Christmas songs on the piano by candlelight.

Day 2 | Bremerhaven

Today, you can look forward to an excursion to the vibrant port city of Bremerhaven. Here, it’s “Welcome on board”! You will visit the training ship “Deutschland,” where there is much interesting and maritime to discover. The original inventory and the special atmosphere will delight you. Afterwards, you will have free time. Shopping in Bremerhaven is also fun: the Columbus Center, a long, maritime shopping mile, is a covered shopping paradise right by the water. Back at the hotel, you will be spoiled with a dinner featuring Nordic specialties from the buffet.

Day 3 | Stade – Old Country

Enjoy the rich breakfast buffet. Today, you will visit the old Hanseatic city of Stade with your tour guide. Narrow cobblestone streets lead you past charming old half-timbered houses. The traditional Stade Christmas market takes place around the large Christmas pyramid at the horse market. Afterwards, the journey continues to the Old Country. You will drive through Germany's largest contiguous fruit-growing area, with picturesque manors and thatched half-timbered houses. Right by the Elbe, you will take a rustic break. There will be coastal punch and sweet raisin bread. After returning to the hotel, a hearty kale meal with all the trimmings will be served: kale, boiled potatoes, sausage, bacon, and Kasseler to fill you up.

Day 4 | Return Journey

A memorable journey comes to an end. After breakfast, you will begin your return journey. Perhaps we will see each other again in the Old Country?
