Wörlitz for the Dinner Christmas Story

Day 1 | Arrival at the World Heritage Region

Departure in the morning and drive to Oranienburg-Wörlitz, in the World Heritage Region. Arrival in the afternoon – take the time for a first visit to the wellness area, for a few relaxing rounds in the pool, before you are expected for dinner.

Day 2 | Dessau – Christmas Story by Charles Dickens

After breakfast, you will drive to Dessau. Discover the eventful history of the city on a guided tour combined with a sightseeing tour. The tour shows how the Bauhaus came to Dessau, what the city has to do with the Basic Law, and why some of its children are better known abroad than in their birthplace. After that, you will have free time. The Advent market in the heart of the city offers a variety of treats, creative decorations, special handicrafts, and much more. In the evening, experience the famous Christmas story by Charles Dickens in the hall of the historic inn "Zum Eichenkranz," wrapped in a contemplative and humorous theater dinner evening in 3 chapters and a four-course menu. The story: London, late 19th century – Ebenezer Scrooge is a grumpy miser whom you won't meet a second time. He has nothing but disdain for his needy fellow human beings, and he considers Christmas a waste of money and time. But when the ghost of his deceased business partner Jacob Marley appears to him, the cold-hearted miser realizes that there are more things between heaven and earth than he would like. Start around 6:00 PM, duration about 3.5 hours. Our bus will take you there and back.

Day 3 | Wörlitzer Garden Realm – Wittenberg

Strengthened by a hearty breakfast, you will start a winter tour in the Wörlitzer Park with a hot drink in the former kitchen building of Wörlitz Castle. You will then drive to the festively decorated Lutherstadt Wittenberg. The Christmas market there welcomes you with wonderful scents and sounds. Let yourself be enchanted by the unique atmosphere of the over 700-year-old city. On the city tour with the old town train, you will comfortably discover significant sights, historic buildings, and institutions. In the late afternoon, you will return to the hotel. You still have a small, soothing break in the wellness area before you are expected for dinner.

Day 4 | Christmas Market Eisenach – Return Journey

Unfortunately, after breakfast, it is time to say goodbye, and you will begin your journey home. In Eisenach, you will make an individual lunch stop, the Christmas market is open and tempts with many treats and beautiful handicrafts!
