Cycling in the Chiemsee-Alps region

The Chiemgau is hard to beat as a cycling region. The impressive pre-Alpine landscape with rivers, lakes, orchards, and forests shapes the area, and you can explore the region with all your senses. And after the pedaled kilometers? Just sit back, look at the mountains, and enjoy the Chiemgau cuisine.

Day 1 | Arrival in Inzell

Departure in the morning and drive to Inzell. You will be warmly welcomed at the hotel. Check-in and dinner.

Day 2 | Monastery Cycle Path

Today's bike tour takes you to one of the most significant monasteries in the Chiemgau. From Eggstätt, you will cycle to the over 1,000-year-old and historically significant Monastery Seeon, which is idyllically located on a peninsula in Lake Seeon. From here, you will continue to the former Augustinian Canons' Monastery in Altenmarkt on the Alz and back to Eggstätt via Truchtlaching and Gollenshausen. You will return to your hotel by bus. Dinner and overnight stay.

Cycling distance: approx. 50 km (moderate)

Day 3 | Simsee and Inn Cycle Path

You will take the bus to Rosenheim. From here, you will leisurely cycle along the Inn dam, through small villages and farms with a wonderful view of the mountain panorama to Kufstein. Here, our travel bus awaits you for the return trip to your hotel and dinner.

Day 4 | Around Lake Chiemsee

Today, together with your cycling guide, you will go “Around Lake Chiemsee.” The Chiemsee Cycle Path runs directly along the shores of Lake Chiemsee, with breathtaking views of the islands and the Chiemgau Alps. Numerous inns, beer gardens, and cafés invite you to take a break. The cycle path is one of the most beautiful cycling routes in Bavaria. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 5 | Reit im Winkel

You will reach Reit im Winkel by bus. From here, you will cycle in a magnificent mountain landscape, along the Weitsee, Mittersee, and Lödersee to Ruhpolding. A truly impressive and rare scenery. The entire backdrop is under nature protection. Passing the Biathlon Performance Center, you will return to Inzell in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 | Departure

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to the Chiemgau. With many beautiful impressions in your travel luggage, you will begin your journey home.
