Travel Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival – Graz

Departure in the morning and drive to Graz. Check-in and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 | Bike Tour Austria – Arrival
Moravske Toplice

After breakfast, the bus takes you to Mureck to Röcksee. From there, you start your bike tour along the Mur cycling path on the Austrian side to Bad Radkersburg. After a cozy coffee break in the city center, you continue your ride along the border to Slovenia and reach the Goričko Nature Park. On the Slovenian side, the route leads through the gently rolling landscape of the Pannonian Plain to Moravske Toplice at Therme 3000. After arrival, check-in at the hotel.

Cycling distance: approx. 60 km (easy – moderate)

Day 3 | Cycling Tour Hungary

Today's route leads through the Goričko Landscape Protection Park to Hungary, into a sparsely populated area. In the pottery village of Magyarszombatfa, you have the opportunity to visit a pottery workshop. Via Szentgyorgyvolgy and Nemesnép, you cycle back to Slovenia. Continue to Kobilje and to Lake Bukovnica with the St. Veit water source, featuring about 50 bio-energy healing points. After a stop, you cycle back to the hotel.

Cycling distance: approx. 55 km (moderate, 400 m elevation gain)

Day 4 | Goričko Nature Park

Today, you will venture into the heart of the Goričko Landscape Park. The characteristically hilly terrain is rated as moderately difficult. You will ride on low-traffic roads. The focus of interest will be the lake from the Ledava River and the largest Slovenian castle, from which the town has also adapted its impressive name. Where there are castles, there are also dragons. You will learn more about this along the way.

Cycling distance: approx. 54 km (moderate)

Day 5 | Cycling Tour Croatia

The tour begins with a relaxed ride through the vast Pannonian Plain, taking you past typical Pannonian villages to the Mur River. From there, you cycle over a bridge to Razkrižje, near the Croatian border, where you can discover the bio-energy points as well as the source “Ivanov Izvir.” Crossing at Gibina, you reach the Croatian region of Međimurje. Along the Mur, you continue to Sveti Martin na Muri, the northernmost point of Croatia, where a historical ship mill, a ferry, and an ethnological collection await you. Over the bridge at Hotiza, you finally return to Slovenia and cycle through the picturesque landscape back towards Terme 3000.

Cycling distance: approx. 62 km (easy)

Day 6 | Wine Road Jeruzalem – Graz

After the luggage has been loaded onto the bus at the hotel, the final stage takes you by bike to the castle park in Beltinci (vintage car museum in the park). You continue to the “Island of Love” on the Mur River and to the village of Bistrica, where you take a ferry across the Mur River. Further, you travel through Slovenian Styria to Ljutomer. The final steep ascent on the Jeruzalem Wine Road can be tackled by bus or – for ambitious cyclists – by bike. To conclude, enjoy a wine tasting with snacks in a typical wine cellar. Afterwards, you will take the bus to Graz for an overnight stay.

Cycling distance: approx. 50 km (moderate – easy)
