New Year's Eve in Hohenau
The Bavarian Forest – this is endless forests, mighty mountain ridges alternating with gentle hills, small mountain lakes, and picturesque villages and towns. It spreads over approximately 6,000 square kilometers between the Danube, the Bohemian Forest, and the Austrian border. Hohenau is located at about 812 m above sea level and is usually covered in snow during winter. The municipality is situated in a picturesque environment with a magnificent panoramic view over Haidel, Lusen, Rachel, Arber, all the way to the massive Alps.

Itinerary
1st Day | Arrival
Departure in the morning and arrival in Hohenau in the Bavarian Forest. You will be warmly welcomed at the hotel with a welcome drink. Room allocation and then dinner.
2nd Day | Passau
Today's excursion takes you to Passau, the city at the confluence of three rivers – the Danube, Inn, and Ilz. With the most beautiful view of the city and landscape of Passau – high above the city – from the “Veste Oberhaus”, a unique journey through 2,000 years of history begins. Narrow alleys and wide squares with Italian Baroque flair await you during the subsequent, entertaining old town walk. History and stories about the people who lived and live here are not neglected. Afterwards, you will have time for your own activities before returning to the hotel.
3rd Day | Bavarian Forest
Strengthened by breakfast, you will get to know the landscape of the Bavarian Forest today. You will see picturesque villages and towns during the round trip. Along the way, you will visit a glassblowing workshop, where you will learn a lot during a demonstration. To conclude, you will visit a bear herb distillery. Return to the hotel and dinner.
4th Day | Surprise Excursion – New Year's Eve
In the morning, we invite you to a surprise excursion – your tour guide has put together a nice program – let yourself be surprised. Around 2:00 PM return to the hotel and time to rest for New Year's Eve evening. Celebrate the evening with a 5-course menu, music, and a small midnight buffet. Cheers to the New Year!
5th Day | Free Time – Horse Sleigh Ride
Start the first day of the new year relaxed with a delicious breakfast. In the afternoon, we invite you to a horse-drawn carriage ride through the beautiful landscape. Along the way, stop at a local establishment, where you will spend a lovely afternoon with food and live music.
6th Day | Bohemian Forest – Cesky Krumlov
After breakfast, drive through the enchanting landscape of the Bohemian Forest to Cesky Krumlov. The medieval town with its houses from the Renaissance and Baroque periods is beautifully situated in a river bend. The old town resembles a labyrinth of narrow, winding alleys with old stone steps, gates, and bay windows. Before returning, there is still some time for a stroll through the town.
7th Day | Regensburg – Return Journey
After breakfast, it is unfortunately time to say goodbye – first, drive to Regensburg. Stroll through the narrow alleys, over the wide squares accompanied by a tour guide and learn about the history of the two-thousand-year-old city. You will see the cathedral, the Stone Bridge, beautiful patrician houses, and much more. Afterwards, the return journey begins.
