New Year's Eve in Timmendorfer Strand

Day 1 | (28.12.2024) Arrival

Today marks the beginning of the “New Year's Eve trip” to Timmendorfer Strand.

Day 2 | (29.12.2024) Holstein Switzerland

Today you will take a tour through the picturesque hilly and lake landscape of Holstein Switzerland – the natural idyll between the seas. The landscape is unique: It mainly consists of a lively up and down of valleys and hills with around 200 small and large lakes in between. Surrounded by a dozen lakes and adorned with an extensive castle area and an idyllic old town: This is Plön. After a sightseeing stop, you will continue to Eutin, the city of roses. You will be captivated by its history and stylish elegance. Numerous artists and writers who resided here around 200 years ago were inspired by the spirit of this small town. To conclude, you will make a detour to the Panker estate. The historic estate has been in the family ownership of the Landgraves of Hesse since the 18th century. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3 | (30.12.2024) Hamburg

After breakfast, you will travel to Hamburg – the high north and the gateway to the world. Compact like a small town yet bustling, sparkling, and with a fresh breeze of cosmopolitan air. During a city tour, discover the harbor with the Landungsbrücken and St. Pauli, the city center with its historic buildings, the park landscape of the Außenalster, the HafenCity with the Elbphilharmonie (external visit), and much more. Afterwards, you can enjoy the winter atmosphere on the Alster. You will cruise close to the shore around the Außenalster on an Alster steamer and experience the sights and world-famous buildings of the Hanseatic city from the water. Sit back and enjoy the traditional round trip. Back on land, you will have some free time before heading back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 | (31.12.2024) Free time – New Year's Eve

Spend today as you wish. Enjoy beautiful hours by the Baltic Sea, stroll along the promenade, and relax in the hotel's wellness area. Perhaps you will also explore the spa town with its old villas, cafés, and boutiques. In the evening, a festive New Year's Eve buffet awaits you, including corresponding drinks.

Day 5 | (01.01.2025) Wismar and Boltenhagen

After a cozy breakfast from the buffet, you will first travel with your guide to Wismar. Wismar boasts one of the best-preserved medieval town centers in Germany, with its monumental churches, impressive marketplace, carefully restored townhouses, and water art. The ideally developed town layout from the heyday of the Hanse has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002. In the afternoon, you will make a detour to the Baltic Sea resort of Boltenhagen. Beautifully situated between Lübeck and Wismar, it is the third-largest Baltic Sea resort in Germany. You will return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 6 | (01.01.2025) Departure

Today it is time to say goodbye again. Well-rested and with many impressions and memories in your luggage, you will begin your journey home after breakfast.
