Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival
Departure in the morning and travel in a modern and comfortable premium bus to Rostock. Check-in at the 4-star hotel and dinner.
Day 2 | Rostock – Warnemünde
After breakfast, you will explore the historic Hanseatic city of Rostock, also known as the city of seven gates. The traditional brick Gothic architecture still reminds us today of the former power and wealth of the Hanseatic era. After an individual lunch break, you will take a boat trip past impressive harbor facilities to Warnemünde. End the day with a stroll along the promenade. Along the Old Stream, there is a promenade lined with charming captain's and fisherman's houses. Elegant restaurants, chic cafés, and cozy pubs invite you to rest here, as well as on the newly designed Mittelmole. Return to Rostock and individual evening arrangements.
Day 3 | Schwerin
Today you will take an excursion to Schwerin. During a city tour through the historic old town, you will experience century-old buildings, narrow alleys, and beautiful squares that have retained their charm. A detour to the baroque castle garden will surely delight you. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 4 | Wismar – Island of Poel
After breakfast, you will take an excursion to Wismar with a knowledgeable tour guide. The city has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002 and will surely impress you. The cityscape is characterized by three massive brick cathedrals. The resurrected St. George's Church is a technical masterpiece of the 16th century and is one of the largest brick churches in northern and eastern Germany. You will take an elevator up to the 35-meter-high tower and enjoy an impressive view over the city and the surrounding area. After an individual lunch break, the trip will take you to the island of Poel, the youngest Baltic Sea resort in the country. During a tour of the island, you will discover many stone witnesses of the past: old manor houses, avenues with cobblestones, old lighthouses, museums, and the island church. Return to Rostock in the evening and individual evening arrangements.
Day 5 | Lübeck and Travemünde
Travel to Lübeck – the “Queen of the Hanse,” as the former imperial city is fondly called. The entire old town, surrounded by water, is a protected monument and part of the UNESCO World Heritage. During a guided city tour, you will delve into the present and past of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. The lunchtime is at your leisure. Perhaps you will also stop by Café Niederegger? In the afternoon, you will take a short detour to Lübeck's “most beautiful daughter” – Travemünde. Small colorful fishermen's houses right next to gently rocking boats, a white sandy beach, and a fresh sea breeze await you. Let the wind blow around your nose at the Baltic Sea.
Day 6 | Return Journey
Varied days lie behind you, and today it is time to say goodbye. After breakfast, you will begin your journey home.
