At the foot of the mighty Gerlitzen lies Lake Ossiach, the third largest and one of the warmest bathing lakes in Carinthia. Experience with us the many sights of Austria's southernmost federal state.

Day 1 | Arrival

In the morning, depart to the south of Austria – to Carinthia. In the late afternoon, you will reach your hotel in Sattendorf on Lake Ossiach. Here, you will be welcomed with a welcome cocktail. After room allocation, dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 2 | The Lakes of Carinthia

Today, you will first travel to the fifth largest lake in Carinthia, Lake Faak, located south of Villach and the Drau River. After that, continue via Rosegg to Velden. This beautiful holiday resort, with its legendary castle, is known as the filming location of the TV series “A Castle on Lake Wörthersee.” Nowhere is the mix of traditional down-to-earthness of the Alpine region and the lightness of the south more palpable than here on the shores of Lake Wörthersee. After a sightseeing stop, continue to Maria Wörth, where you will visit the pilgrimage church on the peninsula. Then, you will drive to Carinthia's new landmark, the Pyramidenkogel. At 100 meters high, it is the tallest wooden observation tower in the world. Enjoy the unique view over the lakescape of Carinthia before continuing to the state capital Klagenfurt. Klagenfurt is Austria's southernmost state capital – and you can feel it with every step through the squares and alleys of the old town. The well-kept squares and alleys, as well as the Renaissance courtyards, exude Mediterranean charm. During a walk through Klagenfurt's old town, you will get to know some sights, such as the Cathedral and the Lindwurm, the city's landmark. In the late afternoon, you will conclude your excursion and return to the hotel.

Day 3 | 3-Country Tour

After breakfast, you will start your excursion today and first drive to the Italian border town of Tarvisio. Due to its exceptional location, various cultures and languages meet here. You will have the opportunity to visit the Tarvisio Leather Market – haggling is a must here! Continue via Planica, with the largest ski flying hill in the world, and Kranjska Gora to Bled, the charming spa town on the eponymous lake. The alpine lake with Slovenia's only island has been a cosmopolitan place for centuries, captivating visitors with beautiful nature, interesting stories, and soothing natural forces. The return journey takes you through the Rosental valley along the Rosegger reservoir back to Lake Ossiach.

Day 4 | Free Time

Today is at your leisure. Enjoy the unique sunny hill atmosphere at the outdoor pool or relax in the hotel's sauna area. Lake Ossiach is a natural paradise – experience the spicy-clear alpine air and extensive hiking trails. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 | Nockalm Road

After breakfast, you will drive along Lake Ossiach over Feldkirchen up to the Nockalm Road. At Zechneralm, you will have the opportunity for lunch. After that, you will drive through the medieval Tauern town of Gmünd to Millstatt. In Millstatt, you will visit the beautiful collegiate church. The former monastery and Benedictine abbey shape the historical townscape. The cloister and the main portal of the collegiate church with its architectural sculpture are among the most significant art monuments in Carinthia. The abbey was built around 1070 as a Romanesque Benedictine monastery. Return through the beautiful valley to Lake Ossiach. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 | Return Journey

After breakfast, you will begin your journey home with many beautiful memories.
