Rovinj – Peninsula Istria

Day 1 | Arrival in the South

Departure in the morning and drive to the overnight stop. Check-in and dinner.

Day 2 | From Salzburg to the Peninsula

After breakfast, you will start your journey to Croatia. In Rovinj, you will be warmly welcomed at the hotel with a "Dobar dan" and a welcome drink. Room allocation and dinner.

Day 3 | Rovinj – Lim Fjord

In the morning, you will visit Rovinj, the most romantic city in Istria. In the "Pearl of the Adriatic," old Italian flair has been preserved. Steep alleys wind up to the Church of St. Euphemia, and the old stairways, covered passages, palaces adorned with lion statues, and numerous cafés give the city its own charm. After the guided tour, you will take a panoramic boat trip to the Lim Fjord, one of the most beautiful fjords of the Adriatic Sea.

Day 4 | Pula, the Tip of Istria

Today, discover why Istria is so special. The drive takes you to Pula, the vibrant heart of the peninsula. Pula, like Rome, is built on seven hills and boasts a famous amphitheater. After a sightseeing tour, there will be time for a stroll through the pedestrian zone with shops and the market. In the afternoon, you will return and have time for a beach walk or sunbathing.

Day 5 | Relaxation by the Sea

Day 6 | Poreč & Tasting

Today's excursion takes you to Poreč, with its picturesque old town and historical buildings. In the over 2,000-year-old city of Poreč, many small old town alleys remind of its Roman past. The jewel of Poreč is the Euphrasius Basilica from the 6th century, which has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997. To conclude this wonderful day, we invite you to a tasting of wine, olive oil, and ham.

Day 7 | Hinterland: Grožnjan – Motovun

Through romantic, medieval villages, you will reach the hinterland, which, with its wine roads, resembles Tuscany, and arrive at the village of Grožnjan, an artist colony. In the flower-covered stone houses, you will find galleries and artists' workshops. Next, the highlight – you will visit Motovun, probably the most beautiful medieval town in Istria. It sits on a hill about 270 m above sea level and offers its visitors a fantastic view of the valley of the River Mirna and the surrounding vineyards. After a tour and some free time, you will return to the hotel.

Day 8 | Rovinj – Ljubljana – Salzburg Area

After breakfast, it’s "nasvidenje!" and you will begin your return journey. On the way, you will visit the Slovenian capital Ljubljana. You will embark on an entertaining and eco-friendly city tour with the Urban train, which will take you to all the main attractions. You will continue your journey to the Salzburg area for an overnight stop.

Day 9 | Return Journey

Relaxing and eventful days come to an end, and you will head home.
