Day 1 | CentrO Oberhausen – Duisburg

Departure in the morning and drive to Oberhausen. There, you will find the festively decorated Westfield Centro, which delights visitors with a beautiful Christmas market during the Advent season. In the afternoon, continue to Duisburg to the centrally located hotel. After checking into your room, you have the opportunity to visit the Duisburg Christmas market, which invites you to linger with its cozy atmosphere and diverse offerings. The evening is at your leisure – perfect for enjoying the pre-Christmas atmosphere and winding down the day in a relaxed manner.

Day 2 | Scrooge Festival Arcen – Return Journey

After breakfast, you will travel to Arcen. Every two years, time is turned back here, and the historic center transforms into a place from the Charles Dickens century. You will be surrounded by hundreds of people dressed in the style of the 1850s and encounter characters from the Christmas story. Additionally, there are concerts, singing choirs, brass players, and traditional stalls. Surrounded by flickering lanterns, crackling fire pits, and numerous stands selling food in the style of the era, you can enjoy the enchanting winter atmosphere of that time. Those who wish to experience the story of Ebenezer Scrooge can watch the performance that takes place several times a day in the marketplace. After experiencing a wonderful winter excursion into the 19th century, you will begin your journey home in the late afternoon.
