Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in Schöneck
Departure in the morning to Schöneck in Vogtland. Check-in and dinner at the IFA Hotel & Ferienpark Schöneck Hotel.
Day 2 | Upper Vogtland
With an experienced tour guide, you will discover the upper Vogtland today. First, you will pass through the German Music Corner with the towns of Klingenthal, famous for Europe's most modern ski jump, and Markneukirchen. Afterwards, you will visit the Saxon spa towns, such as Bad Brambach and Bad Elster. Of course, a stop at a top-notch manufacturer is a must during this tour. You will return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 3 | Chemnitz – Castle and Park Lichtenwalde
Today, the journey takes you to Chemnitz, the third-largest city in Saxony. During a city tour, you will see the most important sights. Afterwards, you will have time to explore the city on your own. After lunch, you will continue to Castle and Park Lichtenwalde, one of the most beautiful park ensembles in Germany. Explore the impressive Baroque garden, as well as the castle with the "Red Salon" and the "King's Room".
Day 4 | Bohemian Spa Towns
After breakfast, you will take an excursion to the neighboring country of the Czech Republic with a tour guide. The first point of interest is Karlovy Vary, with its centuries-old spa tradition. The city was already very popular among wealthy aristocrats in the 16th century and enjoyed the favor of many noble families. During a guided tour, you will see the spa and park area, the two-towered Church of St. Mary Magdalene, and much more. The return journey to Schöneck takes you through Eger and Franzensbad, with its historic spa houses and healing springs. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 | Free Time
The day is at your leisure in your holiday destination. Perhaps you will visit the hotel's own holiday park with the adventure water paradise featuring wave and lagoon pools, or take a short individual walk through Schöneck.
Day 6 | Erzgebirge Tour
On this tour, you will see the most important places in the Erzgebirge with an experienced tour guide. The first city is Annaberg-Buchholz, known for the oldest blacksmith museum in Germany. The excursion continues to the spa town of Oberwiesenthal. This town lies at the foot of the Fichtelberg, is the highest town in Germany, and thus a popular winter sports resort. The last point of interest is Johanngeorgenstadt, the town of the Schwibbogen. You will return to your hotel for dinner.
Day 7 | Zwickau
Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Zwickau. Great personalities like Robert Schumann, 900 years of history, and breathtaking sights shape the cityscape of Zwickau. Experience the most important historical places and monuments in the old town of Zwickau during a guided tour. Afterwards, you will have some free time.
Day 8 | Return Journey
After breakfast, the luggage will be loaded again, and you will begin your journey home with many beautiful impressions in your travel bag.
